  • Sturdy
Color: Metal Black (Dark Silver)
Really strong and durable I like it a lot. Also the stand on it works great. I would recommend this to anyone. And I don't have to take the case of to put on any of my car holders.

  • (Mostly) good materials don't make a case good
While waiting to see what other options would come out for the new Z Fold3 (particularly as there are enough differences between the Fold2 and Fold3 so as to necessitate a new case), I gave the VRS Design QuickStand Pro a spin to see if it'd hold up to snuff. The answer: no. The primary failure with this case is one of execution and design, even though the materials generally feel sturdy enough to withstand daily use. The kickstand is fragile, limiting, and on the wrong side; the exposed hinge makes folded use feel precarious. I can't recommend this case, especially at the price-- but feel free to dig into my reasons below. PROS + Good, sturdy materials : Self-explanatory. The case doesn't feel cheap (with the notable exception of the kickstand), with a nice dense plastic and interior layer that certainly feels like it'd take an impact-- provided that the phone falls the right way. + No impact on folding/unfolding motion : Unlike folio-style cases, this case allows for the Fold3 to smoothly open and close (and rest in-between) without getting in your way. Fully opened, both panels of the case come together with no threat of overlap-- nice! + Solid fit : There is little to no play in the core fit of the case panels around the Fold3. That's not bad! CONS (that didn't last long, I know) - Kickstand is on the wrong side : Before even looking at how well the kickstand was implemented (or not), it's on the wrong side. When opened, the volume and power buttons are on the bottom edge of the device-- which means they're smashed against whatever surface you're using at the time. You'll have to lift and shift the device to try and get at them, which is a simple and basic mistake that betrays the total lack of testing (besides ensuring that the case fits), - The kickstand is flimsy : This is only barely better than the Nintendo Switch's notoriously awful kickstand, saved only by the sliding catch that stabilizes the kickstand leg relative to the phone's body. Nevertheless, the hinge does not inspire confidence, the sliding catch grates and is often reluctant to smoothly lock or unlock, and it lacks the grip and positioning to keep the phone especially stable. In addition... - The kickstand angle is bad-- and unadjustable : This is a *very* vertical kickstand, which means that you'll either need to have the phone a good distance away from you or elevated relative to the surface you're using. Beyond being a topple risk, the lack of adjustments also makes the device fundamentally harder to use in close quarters. It's unfortunate that the device's natural range of folding motions is more versatile than what's afforded to you by a purpose-built case-- one that should give you that same flexibility with the full main display. - This is an adhesive-based case : The Fold line makes case fit tricky. You can't really wrap the entire device the same way as you could with a slab since the device needs to open, and so most manufacturers use adhesive strips to anchor certain parts of a case in place. This case doesn't install them beforehand, which is a major pain; in addition, the long leg of the cover display section is wont to slide back and forth even when anchored with adhesives. - Too tall on the cover display - While edge gestures are great for maximizing screen real estate, they make bulky cases something of a nightmare. This case is no exception-- too-tall lips around the cover display make edge gestures very hard to use unless you really dig your fingertips into the corners and drag. Not a great way of going about things, and some cases have made the wiser trade-off to lower the lip. - Unprotected hinge - Unlike many of Spiegen's cases, this particular case doesn't even try to protect the Fold's hinges. Because a closed Fold3 has two corners on the hinge side (four, in a way), you really want your case to cover this nice big expanse of phone from scratches and to absorb shock from the occasional spill. With no effort at all here-- not even a flexible cover-- I found myself loathe to use the phone at any in-between angle and cautious about positioning the hinge edge outwards relative to a table. Not great. SUMMARY It's just a case, and not an especially well-done one at that. A classic case where good materials don't make for a good product. A little bit of basic testing and use would have revealed many of these mistakes-- hopefully, a future iteration might do better. For now, I'm going to go back to another vendor. ... show more

  • 1st week review
Color: Matte Black
Not sure if everyone will experience this but my front section won't stay on, it tries to squuezw off to the side. Reason is it's a touch too small, you can see the plastic flexing open and grabbing, rather than slotting over the phone and holding. Front case is also 1-2mm too tall. Not a huge issue but if you type with the phone closed, it's difficult to touch the letters near the edges. Haven't dropped my phone yet, but I think it will be well protected. ... show more

  • Solid build...
Solid build and protects most of the phone. I say most as it will not protect hinge that is exposed when in the closed position. Already has a view nicks on exposed hinge from a drop. Loved that it could lay flat on a surface. No issues with putting on and it staying in place. Just decided I wanted hinge protection and a place to hold stylus. ... show more

  • Great case, but be careful with the kickstand
I'd like to give this a 5-star review due to it's looks, function, and general durability. HOWEVER, after 9 months of use the kickstand has actually broken. I STILL give this a 4/5 star review because I believe the reason the kickstand broke is because I used it as a quasi-pop socket, in addition to a kickstand. I believe the added stress over time of me using it as a pop socket eventually wore the little plastic parts out that enable the kickstand to slide in and out. SO, if you're going to use this case as it is designed to be used, this is a PERFECT case. Just don't use the kickstand as a way to hold your phone in your hands the way that I did. ... show more

  • Protects to phone
Color: Metal Black (Dark Silver)
I bought the z flip right when it came out. I looked at a lot of cases and landed on this one. I've had it on the phone for a couple weeks. This is what I've learned/experienced. First off... I have already yeeted this phone down the wood stairs twice with this case on. Not on purpose, but yea... full send out of my pocket. Nothing happened to the phone. I did use the tap and some people complain, but for me it was about the protection. The case was actually a little difficult to get on, but maybe I was just too afraid to break it. I did all of the recommended tape just to be sure. Its stayed so far. The front screen bezel is a little deep and covers the edges slightly. I also had a problem getting the left piece to go on straight. Even with tape it wants to bow in a little. These two items can make the swiping a bit tedious, but it does protect the screen. I find myself using the front for quick texting and social media, but have it open most times anyway. The inner bezel is way better. It doesn't need to be so protective so its shallow. The fit is nice and works well. I do like the stand, but some apps won't rotate so it doesn't always work because it only does landscape. So... if you are looking for protection of the phone and works well... I would recommend. Does it have some downsides? Yes, but for me its exactly what I need straight away. ... show more

  • Protected my Fold 3 super well
Color: Matte Black
Purchased in October 2021, after all the abuses I put it through: dropped numerous times, threw the phone by accident, had it stuck in the folding table... April 2023, It would still work when comes to protection, however, the stand has broken and I felt it is time to get another one. It is bulky since it does provide a pretty solid protection. Please note due to the raise edge, it make outside screen typing harder. It also makes the already chunky phone even chunkier. ... show more
