I have a couple of Voyager harnesses for my 15-pound terrier mix. They’re durable and easy to put on. I got this one to replace one that I’d had for a while that was a bit on the big side. This time I got one size down, because his chest size is at the top of one size range, and at the bottom of the next size up. The smaller one fits perfectly - roomy enough. When we got our Sheltie puppy at 8 weeks, I originally got the corduroy Voyager vest, which was so cute and seemed comfortable for her and so easy to put on. But when she outgrew it, the weather was too hot for that heavier/plush one. I tried a couple other strappy harnesses, but this step-in version is so much easier to put on (though I have missed a leg in the right place a time or two.) It is very sturdy. I wish the Velcro wasn't so noisy when taking it off, but she got used to that sound. We keep it on her most of the day since as a pup, she's in and out a lot. The two metal rings at the top click a lot and we joke they sound like she is playing the castanets. I wish it was a little lighter, now that it is so hot, but we need to keep her in a harness still, especially when we meet up with people and other dogs outside. I have a bunch of leashes, but I decided to get the combo and I really like the leash that comes with it. The handle loop is padded, making it much more comfortable to hold all the time, and it is very sturdy. I was thrown by the photo and thought I was getting the poop bag holder, too, when I ordered the combo. But when it arrive I read the listing and saw that the bag was separate and an additional $10. I ended up finding a different poop bag - set of 3 -- that is a much better bargain for $15. 3Packs Dog Poop Bag Dispenser Dog Waste Bag Holder Dog Waste Bags Dispensers With Hand Dog Poop Bag Metal Holders - by Kyrilali. They hold 2 bag rolls and even have room for a key or something. For size -- I was really surprised when I ordered a M for my not quite 15 pound pup. It was too small, so I had to order the Large. This thing is comfy but secure. it is easy to put on even for 10yr old shihtzu that has never used a harness. I love that it keeps the leash up on her back so it doesn't keep getting around her legs. the leash matches perfectly and has reflective stitching which is nice in the dark. Sizing is key .. measure your dog as they explain,and be sure to realize haircut can affect best size. I love in Florida, so pup is kept short haired most of the time.15lb shihtzu is wearing a size Large?! she is stocky, but not overweight. I am very glad I measured. before her grooming I was wondering if I should have gotten and XL ... if your dog needs more adjustability try a different style. ... show more

I purchased the Extra Small for my 10lb Cairn-Yorkie mix. It fits well with a little room to spare. It is so easy to get on/off. Feels very secure with the velcro and buckle snap. So my 17 & 19 lb pugs both wear a “large” in this despite their measurements saying the medium. I had ordered medium so had to exchange it for the bigger size, but now that we have size large they are wonderful & work great for our twice a day walks!

I can't say enough how impressed I am with this harness & leash. My 14 lb terrier mix was always slipping his previous harness and getting free on walks. I talked to a lady at a pet store who had a larger dog using the Voyager harness. She was pleased with it, also, and told me she got it on Amazon. This harness is easy to put on my dog, and actually has 3 different ways to secure: the velcro closure, a strong clasp clip, and the double-ring leash attachment ring. He hasn't slipped it off yet! Our rescue, senior kitty, Dinky isn’t used to a collar or harness. For the last 7 years he’s been indoors but lately he’s really wanted out to chase birds. I tried a collar type of harness and it was a nightmare because his teeth got caught in it. With the Voyager vest, there isn’t a collar but has wide sides. It took a few gentle tries to get him in it. Once the vest was on, he forgot about it and I immediately took him outside. The large Velcro goes over his shoulder blades and has a sturdy quick release clasp. The leash allows Dinky to enjoy a dirt bath and many squiggles. The vest breathes in the Texas summer heat. Great fabric and components. We’re so happy Dinky can be a Voyager now. * I did measure my cat before purchasing. His chest is approximately 16.5 inches and the medium sized fits puurfectly. ... show more
