  • Great LED tail light upgrade for Jeeps
Not strictly Jeep tail light housings, but they are easy to convert. First, the stock holes are in the right place for these lights, but are a fraction of an inch too small. I enlarged them about 3/64" and they fit perfectly. You will need to attach the ground wire and match the function of the OEM lights for each of the three remaining wires (lights, stop/turn, and reverse). I also added a small strip of LED to the outside of each light for the required (in my state, anyway) running light. Wired them to the running light circuit so they come on when you turn the lights on. Also removed the license plate light on the passenger side (just clipped the wires and crimped a terminal onto the end of the power wire) so there was no weird down light on the passenger side. Much cheaper than the $135+ they want for Jeep aftermarket LED tail lights, and these look and function great! ... show more

  • Not bad for the price....
Bought these for my 2003 Wrangler. Pros: Nice looking, bright and solid build. Cons: They don't install that easy. I had to remove the bolts from the housing due to I need to screw the housing into the body of the vehicle. They weren't plug and play, i had to redo the harness and have the ground screwed directly to the body of the vehicle. Lastly, if you have the metal brush guards over your old lights, they cannot be used for these lights....hard to explain but getting the light back together will be impossible. All in all after getting through these surprises and trial & errors, I am happy with them. ... show more

  • Bright and well-built
What more can you ask for from a replacement taillight? I installed these on a 2000 Jeep Wrangler. The posts didn't line up 'perfectly' so it some some modification. Overall though, the install was generally straightforward. The ony issue is if you plan to install these on a Jeep make sure you buy the LED bulb conversion kits for each light or else your turn signals will blink really, really fast. ... show more

  • EZ install on 2000 Wrangler
NOTE: This isn't brand specific but any less expensive pair of tail lights, including these, are basically two of the same light. Unlike the more expensive ones that are specifically designed and sold to be "drivers" and "passenger" side lights, these less expensive lamps are identical. What does that mean? The down firing light intended to illuminate the license plate is on BOTH lights. Further, some other "matched" products put extra marker lights on the SIDES of the lights; driver's side has lights that mark the driver's side and vice versa... these do NOT have ANY side marker lights. Again, not brand specific! Most lights in this price tier will be the exact same way. Great product, used to replace some older "hybrid" LED taillights (incandescent for reverse, LED for rest), which were MUCH harder to remove due to phillips head screws being used on the inside of the housing... rusted bolts meant no screw driver was taking them out and I ended up having to drill out ALL OF THEM. Which brings me to these lights... great value, very bright, long wiring harness, but again... something that is sure to haunt who ever eventually replaces them years down the road... THESE ones don't even have screw heads! Rather they have square bases that are cast into the plastic housing. Why can't someone spend the extra $0.05 to put hex head bolts in these light assemblies?!?!? Would have given these five stars if they had. Still a good deal, would buy again. ... show more

  • Perfect fit. Lights up as expected.
Well, they were a perfect industry standard fit. I was surprised the bolts matched the holes perfectly. They look great and operate very well ..... so far. We will see how the duration goes. But the wiring labeling was clear and better than most. It was perfect for automotive applications. Everything in these are LED, even the license plate light. Pretty impressed so far. 5 stars because they arrived undamaged, and install was a breeze and fit as they should. ... show more

  • 91 YJ wiring
Take your time, you will need to drill out the factory holes and what i did was i cut the factory plug off the back of the brake light and wired up the new led brake light to that plug off the jeep that it became plug and play after that. So from the factory plug you will have 3 wires white- white and black- and then green and black, white is your running lights which should wire up to the black wire on the new led lights, then white and black is your reverse lights which will wire up to your yellow wire on your new led lights, and then green and black are your brake lights which will wire up to the red wire on your new led lights. And finally the white wire from your new led lights is the ground, now the just attached a circle connector and placed it on the back side of the brake light and tightened it down with the nuts provided. ... show more

  • No plug and play, but not difficult
This is not plug and play. But not awful. The way you take off your oem break light is not how you instal it. The easiest way to install is to splice the wires into the wires of the oem light harness connection so that it can be snapped into the original wiring harness later on. You have to drill the threaded connections out on the body and then tighten the bolts on from the underside later on. You can jam the ground connection between the bolt and the body of the car when tightening the bolts from under the car. Not exactly plug and play but not difficult. I was an electrician for some time so I had the tools to splice and make new connections so it still took me just an hour and that still includes the time it took to find out the easiest way to do it. Still do it though. It gives me peace of mind that it looks good and everyone definitely knows when I am slowing down. ... show more
