  • Awesome Googles!
Bought these as a Christmas gift and personally couldn't wait for it to get open so that we could try them out. Very easy to set up. Point and go. Picture is very clear when viewing through them. This will be a fun a item to have out in the woods.

  • Good item
I was impressed by the picture clarity. I also tested in my room where it is very dark. I laughed because I saw clothes in the corner clearly through the binoculars which to the naked eye were in a pitch-black room. I am very happy with my purchase. The price was great and the product is great.

  • Nice night vision CAMERA.
This device is a camera. It may look like a set of goggles, but in fact one of the oculars is a very sensitive camera, while the other one is just an IR emitter. The camera on its own works quite well in darker conditions, but in complete darkness it is not even close to being enough. That's where the IR gun comes in and once you turn it on, it lights up everything with invisible to the naked eye IR spectrum light, but the camera picks it right up and can see very well in the darkness, enough to even read some text. Speaking of reading text, the resolution on the camera is very good. Not mind blowing, but enough to see everything in impressive detail. The viewing screen works pretty well, although I do wish it had a better seal with your face. I also wish the buttons were lit up, otherwise you can't see them in the dark and it's therefore hard to control the device. Also, it requires SIX (!!) AA batteries that are not included, which I find unacceptable because you can't use the product right out of the box. Overall, good quality device, but a somewhat misleading advertisement and a few issues to improve upon. ... show more

  • Excellent value for the money
I live in an area where it can get pitch black at night, to the extent you can not see your hand in front of your face. I have wanted a pair of night vision goggles so I could see what was out wandering around at night and to figure out where my dog is when she decides to go on walkabout. For reference I live on a 2 1/2 plot of land and she blends in with the grass and plants well enough in the day, I dont need her totally invisible at night. This device does everything I want and more. This is a well built item. It feels as if you could bounce it around a little and still have a functioning item. I would not drop it as that would destroy it but you can bounce around when you are using it. This has a very good zoom and record function. My neighbors were playing loud music on night on their land and I wanted to figure out where they were and record them. As it was after midnight I just wanted to have proof I wasnt going crazy. These goggles were able to record them pretty much clear as day but I was able to zoom up on the radio. This was on an extremely dark night. These goggles can change from light to dark and back without causing you to go blind. The item does eat batteries. The screen is nice, the controls are easy to master. Everything about this unit just works for me. If you are looking for a good entry into the night vision club you might as well just get this pair. They are cheap enough pricewise that if you discover you dont need to use them you will not be out that much cash. ... show more

  • You'll be able to see
These night goggles do exactly as advertised and we were able to see really well at night. It comes with an SD card so you can use it to record. We made a few videos outside in the back yard as well as when we went coyote hunting. I don't like how it takes regular batteries instead of being chargeable and so I will need to buy some batteries that are. However they are really easy to use with a pretty straight forward design. The included carry pouch is also nice. ... show more

  • Works very well, but I wouldn’t call it a goggle.
I’ve been using night vision equipment since the early 1980’s, and seen a lot of different models. Every device I’ve used has had tubes, and cost four to forty thousand dollars. This VMOTAL “goggle” employs the latest technology in night vision that doesn’t use tubes. I was surprised at how well it works for such a low price. Pros - => Incredibly low price. The cheapest usable Gen3 tube device will cost 20x this much. => Can go from darkness to intense light without damaging itself. => Same device can be used in daylight or complete darkness as a digital binocular. => Good image and distance. => Takes pictures and records video, and you can even play it back right on the device. => Uses a Micro TF card , and they include a 32GB. You can carry a pile of them in your pocket and record for hours. Cons - <= You can’t put these right up to your face like a true night vision goggle, unless you are lucky enough(?) to be very nearsighted. The simple solution is to hold them a couple of inches from your face. Of course, this has its own drawback… <= It will illuminate your face. You can dim the image you’re looking at a little by lowering the IR light, but for the most part there’s no way to dim the screen. That’s a bit annoying, but here’s a workaround – get a small piece of static cling window tint. Just cut to fit and slap it on. It will protect the screen and keep your face from lighting up so much. <= You can mount this on a tripod, but you can’t really mount it on a helmet or wear it. <= Like other NODs, it loves to eat batteries, but you can’t use rechargeables. I took this into my garage at night, where there was complete darkness. I took a few pix to demonstrate how it illuminates, and its ability to zoom. The pails are at roughly 20 feet away. Bottom Line - If you don’t need to worry about being lit up (actually and figuratively), this is an amazing device for an incredible price. I imagine critter watchers, security guards, and hunters will all find this device very useful. It’s not going to give you the same image as a 40 thousand dollar GPNVG goggle, but for the price it gets 5 stars. ... show more
