Great Tv! Very pleased with this item and am happy that I made the purchase. Received exactly as described. Does what the product description has written about the item. Would purchase this item again and would also recommend to others. I purchased 2 of them and we have had no problems with them at all. They are almost a year old and still work like the day we received them. When we moved into our new home last year our bedroom did not have a cable outlet so, we were going to call the cable company to have one installed and in the guest room. I searched on Amazon for a Tv that would not take up the whole bedroom but big enough to watch some movies. In my search, this item stood out to me the most and the reviews were more than helpful. Being this was our first Smart Tv, we enjoyed the features so much that we never did add cable in our bedroom. We also purchased a 60-inch Vizio for our living room because we liked this one so much. The applications on this Tv are perfect for us and we even joined a few that they offer such as Hulu. Some of the apps that we enjoy are Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. I love that I get to watch all my favorite YouTube videos in the comfort of my own bedroom. Another nice feature is if I start watching a video or a movie in the living room, I can finish it in the bedroom later when the kids go to bed. The second TV we purchased was set up in our guest room since we have many friends and family that come and vacation with us. It is nice to have this TV for our guests, makes them feel right at home. Installing the Tv is very easy to do. When you first start your Tv a setup menu will walk you through the installation process and you can choose your preferences. Since this is a Smart Tv, you will be able to use all the apps through Wi-Fi, having high speed internet will help the movies stream faster without timing out. I would recommend getting a high-speed internet plan because we did have problems connecting and once we upgraded, not a single problem after that. Hooking cable to the Smart Tv is the same as any other tv, in our living room we have cable connected to our large smart tv. We then have the option of watching cable or using our Wi-Fi to watch Netflix instead of HBO on cable. The other thing we did was purchase an antenna for our bedroom and hooked it up to this Smart Tv so that we could get local channels. Since this Tv is so light, it is also very portable. You can very easily move it from room to room if you wanted too. And because of its light weight it is easy to find a spot for it. Been using for almost a week now, the Vizio D50-D1 50-Inch 1080P Smart LED TV (2016 Model) which I paired with VideoSecu ML531BE TV Wall Mount as my main monitor for my gaming computer and it works very well. I had to adjust the back-lighting, brightness and contrast levels just a tiny bit as this TV can be very bright and it was a bit overwhelming in a semi-dark room. The main reason I went for this TV as a computer monitor is because it has one of the lowest latency out of all the TV's I could find in this price range without having to sacrifice picture quality. (make sure you turn on "Low Latency Mode") and it does not disappoint! Visually the picture quality is blowing my mind, this is my first experience using a LED TV/Monitor, I came from a LCD and how vividly these colors standout along with the contrast of colors is really something I had no idea I was missing out on with my old TV I've been using since 2007. As for movies and TV shows, the same applies. 720P and 1080P content have fantastic picture quality with hardly any tuning you need to do out of the box. And again it just blows my mind how detailed everything in either movies or gaming seem to be now. The only complaints I have are basically just nitpicks, but the power cable is a little too short and the sound the TV produces is not terrible, but nothing to write home about. The 240hz mode aka "Clear Action" mode has a very odd flicker when activated and actually makes me a tad motion sick if I use it for a length of time. Also, for movies and tv shows its hard to tell if the Active LED Zones are doing anything. However in gaming it seems to work fairly well causing areas of the screen to "stand out" or be a bit more dark, kind of adds this interesting additional depth, but all in all its the poor mans version of HDR. If you are in the market for using a TV with a gaming computer make sure you do your research, but for $400 you cannot go wrong with D50-D1 1080P TV ... show more
