This is a great television for the price! Packaged neatly in the box, there is a protective piece of cushioned cardboard taped over the screen, and the tv itself is inside a large bag you use to lift it out of the box safely. Once you attach the legs (or attach it to wall mount), the startup guide is quick and painless. Just connect the television to your WiFi, and the startup guide walks you through everything from registering your device to activate the warranty, to setting up and logging into your streaming apps and more. The sound quality is decent, however I do recommend purchasing a sound bar or other sound system as the TV doesn't have great bass in its speakers, so watching movies can sound a little lacking at first. I bought a sound bar that is able to connect via the Optical chord, or Bluetooth. I decided to connect via bluetooth, and the TV handled that flawlessly. It also works with any blutooth headphones for listening privately if, for instance, someone is sleeping and you'd like to listen without waking them. Picture quality is great, with numerous screen profiles you can choose from, or you can calibrate it yourself to your own specifications. Overall, I'm VERY happy with the product. This is my 2nd Vizio, first was bought in 2008 and worked great! Decided to finally cut the cable cord and needed a SMART TV, and stayed with Vizio. Easy to set up, excellent picture quality. remote is not as easy to use as my original, but I'll get used to it. The only disappointment is in the sound quality. I guess it is because of the placement of the speakers now in the newer models. Quality not as good as in my original. Still, great value for $$. Am going to order the sound bar and that should give me what I'm looking for. Will continue to recommend Sony products! ... show more

The first unit came with a broken screen. Nothing that anybody else could have done different than what I did. There was no damage to the box, but a crack on the screen. And I was taken care of first by amazon and second by vizio, and everyone was top notch. On point and helpful, a new unit was sent right away. It's over here doing an OS. Download successful. To “activate” this TV you will be required to subscribe to Vizio account for at least $100 bi-annually! (5 yr plan is even more) All in the name of using their “Smart TV” apps - nevertheless- you cannot even use the TV until you sign up for a plan - and pay up. What a rip off! And you will see more and more greedy TV mfgrs are moving in this direction! When I argued with the Vizio activation customer service reps - they hung up on me - 3 times!! I returned the TV for a refund. I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER VIZIO PRODUCT! ... show more

This tv is a great choice, I've had it since April 2022 & it's still working with no issues. It never cuts out, or lags and the remote only needs its batteries changed here and there. It all works finely! Plus it comes with all the apps, cable channels for free too!
