Initially, I thought this project would take no time at all; but in reality, it took about a week. Having photos/clip art that represented me was key being that this board would be a constant visual of my goals. I loved that there were step-by-step instructions along the way so I didn't feel overwhelmed. The remainder of the book will be used if/when life changes and a new vision must be created. I have always had to search through magazines to get images and words or inspiration. Through the years, I’ve even gone to book stores and purchased old magazines. This was way easier and I will never go back to the old way. I also love the fact that there is an entire book focused on women who look like me. My only criticism is yes, there are some typos.. only two that I noticed. Nothing major but the author should fix them. These minor typos were not major enough to me. I still recommend. ... show more

I was blown away when I received this book. I love doing vision boards and other types of manifesting boards and usually it is beyond difficult to locate pictures to add to it. Especially pictures of women of color and this book gave me exactly what I needed to add to my vision board. The only thing I wish it had was duplicates of some of the basic photos but honestly I got so much I didn't even mind it and was able to use it to create a really nice vision board. With limited options in stores of magazines to reflect black folk, this book was a perfect alternative! These photos were great for my vision board party composed of black women & girls. Everyone found something useful. Yes, they can be googled, but who has time for that?! The media could not be loaded. I loved this book and bought 2. Will be gifting the rest to a friend. You’re able to create at least 2-3 vision boards with these books. Felt great seeing images of people that look like me.
