    • Big Book, but Worth it for the Fans
Let me start by saying this book is not what I expected. Being it was from Dark Horse, I was expecting more of a comic style/ graphic novel rather than a series of lore dumps, backstories, and dialogues blown up into a big book with pictures strewn throughout. That's what this is, it's a full-on lore book detailing the stories and relationships of the Apex Legends cast as Pathfinder makes inquiries with them as to who his creator is. If you don't like a lot of reading, this is certainly not the book for you, I'd suggest watching or reading a synopsis of the book's events. Now if you like tons of art, the world and characters of Titanfall/Apex Legends, and having a peek behind the curtain at what's really going on in Respawn's fictional universe, then this is absolutely the book for you. Throughout this book you'll read about the motivations of each Apex Legend, and hear stories and events you wouldn't otherwise know about from their perspectives. The entire book is set between Seasons 7 and 8 (No Fuse, sorry friends) framed in the manner of Pathfinder posing questions to his fellow legends in an attempt to find the truth of his origins, which leads to them delving into their pasts and the ongoings of the Frontier. There is a TON of good lore on display, and a few surprise reveals I don't want to spoil here, but if you have any interest in Revenant's past, where the rift on Olympus came from, or what Octane's face looks like under the mask and goggles, then don't pass this book up. *As a personal note, Pathfinder has been my favorite character since the game released, and this book was everything for me. Learning about Pathfinder's origins, how the other legends feel about him, and how he feels about the other legends and the world was all information I didn't know I needed until I had it. I'm so thankful to Respawn for taking the time to flesh out the legends in this format, as now I have a newfound respect for the game as a whole. If we never got another one of these books, I'm glad they chose to convey the story through Pathfinder's perspective. 10/10, Amazing. ... show more

    • Everything you’d need as a TF|2/Apex Universe fan!
Book was WAY bigger than I expected. Each page is written in such an interesting way. Its not just purely words, there are places where its written like a script. Like a history book. Filled with pictures or tidbits of planets, corporations, and communities we all knew. Its so worth it. I got it preordered and the wait was so worth it. Cant wait to read even more of this(I’m not a fast reader but need to share how great this book is) After reading the book: Okay. That went a whole different place than I expected. It all connected and made sense. It was an emotional rollercoaster that leaves you happy and wanting more. The book does answer many questions people have had, showed more sides to all the legends, but also leaves you wanting more.     • Great Book for Lorehounds, Solid Book for SciFi Lovers
This is a great piece of fiction. If you enjoy Titanfall/Apex then you should definitely pick up a copy. Every character up to Season 7 gets their shine and each chapter is a great expansion of these characters outside the arena. There is a real MVP of the book though, Interlude B is all I'll say. I hope there is another book on the way. It was a great story and just a pleasure to read. Very funny, pulls at the heart, good twists, and big-time reveals. Even a couple of teases for a certain sequel ahem ahem. Great job, hats off to Manny, Tom and Ashley for wrangling all of this together. ... show more

    • If you love Apex Lore GET IT
I don't know where to start. This book was so well done from start to finish. I remember the authors (I think Manny but perhaps also Tom) warning us not to just skip to a chapter because it was all one big story, oh man yes it was and it is a cover to cover READ. Beautifully well done, beautiful art, beautiful story. I laughed (alot) and I cried (don't tell anyone). I learned so much about the world of the game I've been enjoying for these past 2 years, this was fantastic. Well done in all aspects and even at 207 pages, it could have been longer. I WANTED MORE. I hope there will be a similar book if not next year then for the four year anniversary. Please get this book if you love any or every legend!! AND GET THE HARDCOVER. I can't believe it was ONLY $40 like my god. To me, it's so much more valuable. I love it. I was gifted this and I am honored to own this book. It's GREAT. ... show more

Shipping to Russia(Moscow) took 3 weeks, the quality of this book feels nice. I've liked this universe and its lore since Titanfall 2, and in Apex Legends I always found it interesting to read the descriptions of the loading screens, in-game comics, some lore-based tweets from @PlayApex, etc. This is my first physical book in general, I like it. I may consider myself a fan of the series, so my opinion of the book's content may be biased. Also, the fact that I've been playing as Pathfinder since release of the game gives me more of a greater sense of belonging to the experience. Can't wait to see more of such stuff. ... show more
