Be sure that your headstock thread pattern matches the adapter bcuz this one is 3/4 x 16TPI… I had to purchase a separate adapter bcuz the thread pattern on my lathe is 3/4 x 10 TPI.. That’s my fault for not paying close attention to the listing… Overall good product tho…

Have to be careful to get the screw attachment in square before synching down. Keep in mind they put 4 tightening positions for a reason. After tightening all 4 positions I have NOT had vice come loose. Would buy again.

The media could not be loaded. First off, I love that I didn’t have to overpay for a good quality gear chuck! Second, I love that it fits perfectly on my WEN benchtop lathe! And best of all, it holds its grip well! Was absolutely drenched in grease in the box so no worries about rust. A little excessive really as there were grease spots on the outside of the box, but I guess better safe then sorry. The ONLY downside is that sometimes the key will slip a little when tightening. The teeth of the key are not as deep as I’ve seen on other chuck keys. Overall, I really love it and would definitely recommend! ... show more
