Not only is the rug very soft, I have washed it in the washing machine twice and it comes out perfect! Picture is of it hanging over two chairs to dry after it came out of the machine.

I absolutely adore the shabby chic look of this rug! It fits right in with my decor. It has the shabby chic/antique look and that is exactly my vibe. The rug arrived folded and packaged in a vacuum sealed bag. I prefer it folded than rolled, personally. The rug in thin but really soft and feels great on bare feet. (my cat loved it too, lol!) It has a non skid backing and very low piling. My roomba styled vacuum has no issues at all with cleaning/vacuuming/maneuvering over it. One concern I have is that I have the rug over my carpet and under my dining room table/chairs and it's not laying flat (a little rippled here and there). Since it is in a major thoroughfare to walk through and I am older, the possibility of tripping is a concern of mine. I feel like it would be fine if it was on a non carpeted floor but it's doing this because it's on a carpeted floor. We'll see what happens. ... show more

I open the package and the first thing that caught my attention was how super soft it was. I unfolded it and shocked the hubby with how big it was.
