This light is super bright in the night sky. I've been using it for several months now and I was surprised when I realized that it's easier to spot and track my Mini 3 Pro drone at night than it is during the day. If you mount it on top (as you should per night flight regulations) you will be able to see your drone when it's not directly above you. I would suggest getting other, smaller and less intense lights to go on the undercarriage of your drone (I got the red and green Acrotor button-like mini lights for the underside and they work pretty well in most situations). One drawback is that the battery lasts for about 1.5 to two of my flying sessions on average and then has to be charged. The charging port is a bit finnicky and it works best with the provided cable, but I did get it to work with another cable I have a couple of times. I don't pay close attention to the charging time, but I feel like it's less than an hour or so from fully drained to full charge. Update: I was looking for a second small yet very bright light to put on the underside of my drone to better keep and eye on it in the dark (but also during the day and as the sun is going down) that wouldn't add much weight to my drone. After doing a lot of research, I couldn't find anything better, brighter, or lighter than this Vifly light. From my research, there's just no other light that is as bright at only 6 grams total weight. Now I use a Vifly light on top of my Mini 3 Pro that works wonders for night flights as a required anti-collision strobe light, plus I have a Vifly under my drone that helps me track it in the sky even when it's directly above me. I love that I can set the my underside light to either white, red, or green light (tip: there is a strobe mode where all three colors flash at the same time and I found that this mode is the most visible when the sun is still out to track my relatively small drone in the sky much better ). I don't have long term experience yet with this strobe but the picture (DJI Mini 2 with strobe mounted on top) speaks for itself: this strobe is bright. Light weight, strong grippy velcro, the strobe has multiple arrays, colors and comes with plastic protective storage case. Easy charging with the supplied usb-c cable. The only downside is it's not pretty. The circuitry is simply shielded in a clear heat shrink tube for protection that does not entirely enclose the circuitry. It doesn't bother me as you don't see strobe it when the drone is flying and I don't fly my drone at night when it rains so this does not concern me. And that's why I didn't spend $49 on the other popular strobe. IMO, this one is well worth the money. ... show more

Good Strobe. Exactly as described. Velcro should be better tho. Hard to peel off backing. This thing is very bright. White, red, green modes. Good stuff. Could have reduced costs and eliminated the USB C cord. Everyone has this already. I mean, we own drones. come on.

After buying a few weeks ago, I finally got chance to use this strobe. I mounted this high on the battery door of the Mini SE so that I can also see it from the ground. At a height of 400ft and a distance of 2500ft, I could clearly see the drone at night, while it was flying away. When I flew back, I did so backwards to keep the strobe visible. When it was closer to me, if I turned it 180 degrees so that the strobe was facing away, I lost sight of the drone. It may be better to mount two of these, one on top (as required) and one below, for visibility. They are very small and light with a low profile so even two might not push the SE above 250g. I can confirm that one unit certainly doesn't exceed the 250g. This is also one of the cheapest strobes but it does everything it should and even after running through all 3 of my drone batteries, this strobe was still going strong. ... show more
