Any review of a watch written less than at bare minimum a couple of months after purchase is by definition preliminary - well, unless something has already gone wrong, that is. Only time (no pun intended) will tell how well it keeps time, if it holds up to life in general, and if it's going to eat batteries in bizarre fashion (I've had that happen and it gets old really fast). So far, so good is all I can say on that. The presentation and appearance, though - I'm absolutely a fan. For reference, I've worn Skagen almost exclusively for years. Like a lot of years. This isn't as thin as the Skagen profile, but it's giving that kind of vibe. I wouldn't call it terribly delicate so much as pretty standard women's size watch face (as in jewelry store watch size, not as compared to the gadget watches that are all over the place). The color is if anything better than expected. I got the rose gold, and fake gold of any kind can come out brassy or just... off. The color isn't a dead match for real rose, but it is closer than many, if not most. It's certainly not tacky or obvious. The band is adjustable mesh, like my Skagen, but unlike the Skagens, this comes with the tool you need to adjust the size. (In fairness, any small screwdriver will do it.) The band is another place where the review is going to be preliminary because those things can and do wear out, and what you don't want on your wrist is a bent piece of metal mesh sticking out. That said, it's not inevitable. I've only had it happen on one watch (which might have been Skagen and might not have been - it was many years ago). The edges on this are already a touch on the rough side, so be aware and use caution with delicate fabrics. It arrives in a lift-top box wrapped around a watch pillow, which is the most useful presentation I've seen on a watch in this price range. The pillow can be used to store the watch when not in use, and, unlike plastic display rounds and such, is actually likely to be used. People throw out their watch packaging and buy pillows to store them, so this is a much less wasteful way to present this piece. Again, at this price, that's a nice, nice touch. This is a SOLID four-star item, and would probably be in striking distance of 5 if not for the risk to clothing from the slightly less refined edges on the band. Otherwise, highly recommend, certainly if you're wearing sturdier fabrics and want to bring a little something extra to the outfit. ... show more

Just because something is made in China doesn’t necessarily and doesn’t always mean it’s poor in quality, when you understand the concept behind “globalization” and “comparative advantage.” Many big luxury name brand items, which are sold all over the world are made in other countries such as China because it’s cheaper for them to get them made there, since China has the readily available resources to produce a certain product be it a watch or a purse. And it works vice versa. It’s the only way for these companies to sell their finished products in a competitive price point. Many of these internationally-made big name brand items are excellent in quality and we don’t criticize them, and that is because, whoever makes the product for these name brand companies in China or wherever it may be in the world, has to meet a specific standards and/or certain criteria. That said, this Grey “Dainty Women's Watch, Rectangle Watches for Women, Elegant Women's Wrist Watch, Ladies Watch with Stainless Steel Bracelet or Leather Band” by VICTORIA HYDE, is a beautifully designed and exquisitely made in China fashionable watch. 🥰 It is lightweight and made of genuine leather with stamp and everything. The leather strap is very soft, smooth, and durable. It wraps around my petite wrist oh, so beautifully and oh, so comfortably. The mother of pearl dial is absolutely stunning and elegant to look at. It’s also a perfect size, which makes it easy to read the time. The gold plating on the face of the watch looks perfect as it is smooth and shiny, and gives off a very luxurious appearance. This watch is very well-packed and well-priced. This watch is great for daily wear. I didn't want to review it until I had a chance to wear it a couple months. So far, I have zero issues with the quality. It's durable and I am not easy on jewelry. The leather wears in and is comfortable. It's a classic style and looks dressy without effort. I do have a very small wrist and had to add a hole to the band, but I typically do that, so that's not a deal breaker for me. I got the Gold stainless steel version. It's definitely small and dainty. I wouldn't call this a quality watch..just a regular analog. When adjusting the clasp position, i noticed some mold developing on the inside. I'm guessing the watch was kept in inventory for a while and potentially coming from humid space. I don't know the brand at all but judging from its website, i have my reservation. I definitely won't pay $100 for this either. ... show more

This watch is very dainty and elegant. It is so easy to read and is comfortable around my wrist. I do feel that is well made, but I do have one issue with the leather strap. The issue is it is so thin. I'm afraid it will break very easily. If I had my choice I would have ordered it again in a different band. I wear this often but only on special occasions. I find it to be one of my favorite watches to wear. I often have problems wearing certain medals and this watch. I'm having no issues at all. It does not irritate my skin. ... show more
