  • Good sound isolation, but serious lag.
Style: Headphones
I am comparing these top the Vic Firth wired model of the same product. Sound is just as good, as is sound isolation. The only issue is the lag with bluetooth. I use a metronome app on my iPhone. At 95 BPM, there's about a 1.5 to 2 BPM lag between the visual cue and the sound cues. For me it's no issue as I just put my phone in my pocket and work from the sound cues. But if you have anything where you rely on visual cues, the lag with these will make it extremely difficult if not impossible. If that's not an issue, for me these are great as it eliminates the wire which used to just bug me. Bottom line, great product with a serious bluetooth lag. ... show more

  • Way too tight and doesn't actually isolate well
Style: Headphones
Multiple reviewers already discussed exactly my dissatisfaction with these. These phones are way too tight, do not allow any adjustment to where they fit over one's ears and isolation is poor. Using them to rehearse with band tunes (I'm a drummer) the volume of the kit is so loud that the volume of the source material has to be inordinately loud. Post-rehearsal, my existing tinitus is worse due to the need to have source volume really high. Otherwise, not only is the kit very audible, but actually annoyingly "enhanced" for lack of a better description. I noted the most leak of drums was in the left ear. This side is where the mic is on the headset (it's bluetooth - you can take phone calls) and even covering the small mic hole with thick rubber tape there was no noticable change. Only when I was able to force them over my ears was this volume issue reduced. Problem is that because of lack of being able to adequately adjust the placement of them this is pretty much impossible. I wish Vic Firth would have used their wired isolation phones and just added BT to them. They were and are really really good. These BT phones have been returned. ... show more

  • Absolutely a great product.
Style: Headphones
They really sound amazing. I am a drummer and someone who spends a lot of time with loud machinery. I wanted earmuffs not technically made to protect hearing - I have to like the sound as well. So far, I’ve not found a product that has done so till I purchased these. My 3M earmuff’s audio broke in a month. Then I just used my old Vic Firth corded headphones from the mid-naughties, but then you’re relying on the power of the audio jack to power them, so not very loud without maxing the volume and getting alerts of excessive volume from your iPhone. I went from max volume on Vic Firth corded to 33% volume on these. So glad they made this product. Battery is great, sound is great, decent price, great for drums or just loud atmospheres. ... show more

  • Overcharged and under delivered!
Style: Headphones
Hard pass on these. I had the wired versions before and they did a good job keeping the sound of my drums muffled; however, there is a lot of bleed through with these. For $99 I expected a lot more…especially from a ‘drumming’ company. The sound quality of the music is pretty good. But, what good does it do when the bleed through is so bad. If go back to the wired version if the cable wire didn’t short out so easily. ... show more

  • Tight!
Style: Headphones
And not like how the kids mean it. These damn things are so tight out of the box that they're almost painful to wear. I have the previous version and it is the same exact design but in red. Those don't seem to want to squish my head. But they are a few years old. Maybe they did when I first got them and they loosened up? It is the same exact design, but is it the same materials? These kind of feel a bit flimsy, and more plastic. The sound quality feels a bit thin, could use more bass. Noise canceling is okay. Maybe shop around? ... show more

  • VF quiet cans
Style: Headphones
I use them to practice acoustic drums to backing tracks. The isolation is just what is needed. Only thing close was iem. BT works fine, late nite tv listening great.

  • Best for kid sized heads
Style: Headphones
For an adult, these sit on, not over your ears. As such they are a very tight fit, best for a child sized head. My experience pairing with Bluetooth was easy and they sound decent, but when connecting wired I hear all kinds of digital artifacts regardless of source. I'm going to keep them for guests and students but I would never use these myself. Sticking with my trusty and now discontinued Sennheiser 380 Pro. ... show more
