    • My new favorite budget headphones!

First impressions- I love these! I previously had a different pair of wired, over-ear headphones from OneOdio that were my go-to (and one of their most popular sets), but listening to these two back-to-back I'd say the A70 definitely lives up to the price difference, and has to be my new favorite pair of headphones. Pros: - SOUND: Sound quality's awesome! Really clear audio with solid bass quality, and the noise suppression's pretty decent too (given the price range these are in). I thought there would be a sizeable decrease in quality from the wired vs bluetooth modes, but I actually found it pretty difficult to sense any difference. - COMFORT: Definitely a step up in comfort from my other set. The other one's ear pads had bulky, circular cushioning that gave me headaches if I wore them too long, whereas these have a smaller, flatter rectangular design that fits a lot better. The foam inside is also a little less dense so the compression isn't too harsh, with the foam across the band being more dense to offer greater support. - BUILD QUALITY: I'd say these are impressively well made for the price they're listed as. I've had a number of headphones that I could tell felt cheap from the moment I picked them up, but these feel really solid! My last set, despite being decent quality compared to a lot of other budget headphones out there, still had some problems with them that made them feel a bit clunky (ear cups had full rotation which felt flimsy, you could hear plastic creaking when moving around). This pair however feels very well put together, with the ear cups having a fixed limit for rotation, and no excess noise coming from the plastic. Cons/Critiques: - NOISE LEAK: I've seen this come up for other reviewers, and I will note that there is a bit of sound leakage. I don't think this is too big of an issue however, since you do have to turn up your volume to a bit of a high level for anything that comes out to be really noticeable (though this will vary depending on what kind of environment you're in). If you're gonna be using these in noisy public spaces or just on your own at home, then I wouldn't say it's anything to worry about. - BUTTONS: Bit of a nitpick, but the buttons are pretty noisy and do feel a bit cheap compared to the rest of the design. Interestingly enough, the power button makes significantly less noise and feels better built-in than the volume buttons. I think this was to make a better distinction between the three when the headset is worn, though I do wish they had all been built in a way that felt a little better. - EAR PADS: Now, this is a *very minor* issue to me personally, but the ear pads compressing do make a bit of a rubbery creaking sound that you can hear fairly loudly when you grab them with the headset on. I'm pretty sensitive to noise so this is just a little thing I noticed- I do think it can be ignored just fine since you'll only hear it when taking them off, but I figured I'd mention it since I wrote about the excess noise previously. * IF YOU'RE GOING TO BUY THESE: Not a critique, but I'm going to mention it since I didn't see it brought up on the user manual- the cable itself has a sort of locking mechanism where it connects to the headphones (this is the first time I'm seeing it, but it might be used with other brands as well). There's a piece attached to the connector that slips into the matching shape of the port, very similar to a key. From there, it can be turned left to offset the alignment of the piece inside, keeping the cord from being pulled out. By turning it fully right until it stops, the piece lines up with the shape of the port again and you can remove the cable. Just thought I'd point this out since it took me a minute to realize how it worked, and I scratched up the port a good bit in the process :') Overall, real good stuff! These OneOdio A70 Headphones are really helpful for multiple uses. Firstly, I think the price of the product is a deal, as it works really well especially compared to other products that I have used. Here are some details of the product that I can think of ---Build Quality--- The build quality is pretty good, I do not have a small head so these big headphones are able to fit on my head perfectly. The cuffs create a pretty good bass and is overall really soft and comfy to wear on your head. Additionally, I don't find the plastic build to feel bad at all, as details such as the covering that goes around your head and the grooves on the sides of the headphones make it look really nice. ---Accessories--- The wires, especially the 6.35 wire, is really really useful for many purposes. Not only that I can plug in my Electric instruments using it, it also has sharing capabilities and can still be used if you reverse the wire. In other words, just switch sides of the wire when you want to use it. This multi-purpose jacks and the ports really make these headphones feel like like "A jack of all trades". Also, the jack locking system is helpful too, as there has been multiple times where I had my wire forcefully pulled during different tasks with old headphones, so it really comes in handy! Also the length of the wires are pretty good, although I would be using the 6.35 jack because the wire is extremely long, and will come more in handy when I have to switch to different things such as listening with my phone or plugging into instruments. The Mico-USB however, is just overall okay, nothing too fancy and not really short, but I recommend using a different cable if you are able to. ---Sound--- The sound of these things are really good, although it doesn't have the best noise cancellation, when overall listening to music it does pretty well to cover out the environment. Also I find this more useful as I prefer to have some noise when I have to listen to somebody who is speaking to me. Also this product has a good bass to it and I have been loving listening to my music. Although the sound isn't the best, in terms of price, it is really good ---Features--- Other than the features I aforementioned, I would like to give insight into some of the other features that I like about the product. One thing is the Bluetooth capabilities. The Bluetooth is able to connect to my devices really fast, and the sound quality still sounds really good. Also, I am able to use the buttons to change music or pause unlike when I have to use the wires to. The battery life on this thing is also really superb, it seems to last a pretty long time and did not have to charge it since I opened it from the box. ---Problems--- Although I do like these headphones, there are some problems I have with it, but it does not affect me personally or hinder my experience. The biggest problem I have with this is the microphone. Even though it is listed having a microphone, when attempting to use it when wired or in Bluetooth, no sound is detected. Instead it is just static. Although I am not sure if that is just my product but it is a problem I have. However, I use external microphones and I do not speak often, so it is not a problem to me... Another problem which does not really matter, but is still interesting to me is the packaging. The packaging itself is okay, but the box seems a bit cheap or basic on its design, which is strange as another image showed a different version of the packaging. Overall, I think these headphones are pretty good for the price, and I have not used many headphones that come with a 6.35mm Jack, which is precisely why I wanted to buy this product.     • Excellent headphones except for one small detail.

I bought these headphones because my wife already has another set by the same manufacturer and she loves that headset. I asked her to compare this set with her older one and she pretty much said what I had already noticed. THE GOOD. 1) Detail is extremely good. Voices can be heard clearly and instruments are very well defined. Great sound overall. 2) Comfort is exceptional 3) Build quality is excellent. Solid unit and great looking. 4) Feature set is well above average. Blue-tooth for wireless use, included cables are top notch, can't ask for anything more. THE BAD: This is exactly where my wife noticed what I did when using the headphones. The volume gets to a certain level and then stops. I found the same problem while using this set in that I could not reach a higher volume which stifled the enjoyment of the playback. My wife's words were, "My older set sounds louder than these". And she's right. I thought it was just me. CONCLUSION: An amazing set of headphones. It checks all the boxes except for one, volume. If you are used to lower to mid volume listening then you will not have a problem with this unit. However, if you are the type that likes to jack up your music to really hear the thumping then this set is unfortunately not for you. It could be the manufacturer placed an automatic volume control in order to save our hearing, I'm just assuming that detail as I cannot fathom any other reason for the volume restriction.Deducted one star for the volume issue. ... show more
