This is my third vibrastraight in about 12 years. To be honest, I’ve dropped the others a few times. My last one would heat up, but no amount of fiddling with it or trying to clean it with alcohol could make it vibrate. I use this with a Revlon One Step volumizer ( but don’t need the volume) which was a game changer, but this flat iron vibrates it’s way down my hair to leave it shiny and super straight. It’s not a good flatiron if you want to use it to create loose waves. It’s to hard to coordinate that vibrating with twisting. Use a regular flatiron or a graduated one for that. You can get a nice curl at the ends though. But, for someone who has battled with the denial of curly hair for years, I will keep buying this thing until they stop making it. Less time, less heat on haur, less damage. It’s overkill if you only need to perfect your slightly wavy hair, but it’s a must for people with curls that resist the order I try to impose upon them. I decided to buy this straightener after doing research online about the best straightener for my hair type, which is fine, curly hair. The best for my type was a tourmaline ceramic which is what this is. My hair has dramatically improved since using this straightener. I love the vibration! It really does an awesome job and has been way less damaging. I used to use a titanium one and my hair went downhill fast. I purchased my first Brocato Oscillating flat iron 5 years ago-They are up there in price so you might be wondering what makes it so special- To me the digital temperature control which is simple to Do with a press of your finger is a HUGE plus as with my hair some parts need really hot to work and others not as much. We'll BE CAREFUL as this goes over 4OO degrees and you could be severely burned. It's a simple iron to use - a ouch of a button to set your temperature - which is lit up in red l e d lights showing you the temp - press of a button and it oscillates - which just means once you have hair clasped in the iron as you move it down your hair the plates actually vibrate which removes Frizzies and unwanted wave or curl!! The plates clean up well. If you color your hair you will find at one point you see what looks like burned color on the plates but no problem - just wipe down once cooled with rubbing alcohol and they look brand new!! Easy grip- easy control but again it gets very very hot so you must be careful if you are a novice at flat irons this may not be for you.!! Comes in nice box but unlike the original it did not come with the heavy duty fabric case so I just used my old one but bare in mind you may want to place it in a safe place in the open position until the plates cool down before putting away- I love this iron the oscillating just ensures no burns burn lines no waving or dents ! I purchased my first Vibrastrait vibrating flat iron almost 11 years ago. Although it still works, I fear it doesn’t have much life left. I purchased the exact same brand from Amazon. I will never use any other brand. This flat iron is AMAZING!! I have the thickest most unruly hair. Some of my hair is wavy, some is curly and a small section is stick straight. I rely on a flat iron every single day. I know the experts say it is not good to apply that kind of heat to your hair every day, but I have no choice. This flat iron does the job!! I love how this straightener works. However it stopped working properly within 6 months. I purchased a second one I liked it so much. I then noticed the product has a three year warranty . I followed the warranty instruction on the box and shipped it and paid for shipping. About three weeks later the Box returned to me stating the company closed and no longer there. I call amazon and after an awful experience of trying to speak to someone (not a bot). I finally get someone. All I wanted was the new address - because this company still exists I just purchased a second one. The rep was a bit clueless and didn’t understand. Finally she said she’s do a one tome excoetion for me. That wasn’t what I asked for - but I was wore down by the process. However it’s been well over a month and NO credit has been applied to my account. Sooooo frustrating. Apparently I need to let this $90 defective purchase go or I need to find a two hour window of time to try to get someone at amazon. What a pain. The saga continues …. the second one also stopped working within 5 months. emailed the company on their website weeks ago …. no response. Left a voicemail & another email 10/09/18. Let's see if anyone responds … too bad - the flat iron is so nice & doesn't burn or pull your hair. Its too bad it fails to last & the company's response is sooooo slow. ... show more
