I got these Viakix to replace an old pair of Teva Tirra sandals that finally bit the dust. I just got the Viakix a couple of days ago, but I love them already! The straps are kind of elastic and hug your feet, so the sandals don't flop around and they feel ultra secure. My feet are probably on the narrow side of average and sandals always flop around on my feet. So having these snug without being tight feels super nice! They fit well and I like the design. The arch support in them is nice. The footbed could have a tad bit more cushion if I was being super picky. Overall, I love them and will live in them for the rest of the summer! ... show more

I was hesitant to try these. Sandles are always a crap shoot for me. Either they look really cute or they feel good but not usually both. Having plantar fasciitis, I MUST have comfort. I couldn't believe how soft the straps were. The fact that they also stretch a bit adds to the comfortability. The footbed is also the perfect amount of support for my feet. Let me start by saying that I have slightly narrow feet but my toes like to spread out when possible and I’m picky about thong straps. The straps are made of a soft fabric (like T-shirt soft) and are round. Easy to get used to wearing and not much pull at the thong. I’d prefer a little more arch support and more strap/space to tighten at the ankle. These fit well overall but a little more pull of the lace to tighten would be nice. My big toe, when spreading to probably normal width?, can hit the edge. I’ve worn them for several days walking around on pavement and beach and they’re doing well (no blisters, no rubbing). The black sole can get warm (I find this is true with many shoes). I tested them in ocean water and they held up and the grit of the sand was fairly easy to remove. These feel like a shoe rather than a sole strapped to my foot (some shoes feel that way). Nice looking shoe, comfy right out of the box, cute strap design - best with shorts or casual but I threw on a casual dress and they looked fine. I’d give these a 4.5/5 if I could. ... show more

I have had fusion surgery for on my back and have been looking for comfortable, supportive walking sandals. It has been 2 years of searching, but I finally found them! Reasonably priced at $55, and most importantly, they fit! There is good cushioning in the heel, which I must have. My toe box is wide, but when I buy wide shoes sometimes, the heel area is way too big. These shoes have adjustable straps at the back to secure my foot. I was worried because the front cross straps are not adjustable. However, they are stretchy so they expand with my foot, but do not dig into my foot — even at the end of the day. It will be interesting to see if the straps get overstretched over time. No matter, these we an excellent buy and I will buy again! ... show more

    • Great sandals for walking

Our family had a few trips that would require a lot of walking in the summer heat. I wanted something that would be comfortable for walking since tennis shoes would be very hot. I broke these in by walking a few miles with my dogs. The first trip was Disney World where it was hot and got some afternoon rain so they were exposed to getting wet. The 2nd trip was New York City when they were experiencing extreme heat so was glad to have open shoes that would allow my feet to breath. Both trips averaged around 20,000 steps each day. The sandals held up with no blistering from any of the straps and were comfortable as any tennis shoe I have worn with that many steps. The rest of my family had new tennis shoes and they seemed to complain more about their feet hurting than me. Obviously my feet were tired and worn out at the end of the day but given the amount of walking that should be expected. I highly recommend these if you are looking for a good sandal for lots of walking. ... show more
