Top Amazon Reviews

  • Just started and will update my review as I continue to take them.
Newer updates at end of post * long read & mention of miscarriages* I will update my review as time passes taking them. I know there are other women with similar situations to mine and I want to be able to help them as many of these reviews have helped me in deciding to take these. Right now I have only been taking for a short period of time but so far so good taking them. I cannot tell any difference yet but a plus side is that I have not gotten any negative side effects (no headaches or anything like that). I originally went on birth control at a young age due to irregular periods. I had a regular 28 day cycle on birth control and surprisingly have had a regular 30 day cycle since stopping birth control 9 months ago. I have struggled with horrible acne, bloat, weight gain, cramps, and spotting both on and off birth control. The doctors tried multiple different birth controls to get everything under control and nothing has worked. I had them to ultrasounds as well and nothing came from those as well. For the last 2ish years, I have spotted 1week before my period (both on birth control and also off of birth control). Sometimes I will spot for a couple days and others I will spot the full week leading up to my period. My cramps have always been horrible. They usually last about 3 days and will be so painful that I lose sleep and will often make me fall to my knees. They really put a damper on life activities. I have also struggled with acne for my entire life. I get painful cystic acne along my jaw line, chin and cheeks. I am now 27 years old and trying to conceive. I have tracked my ovulation and I ovulate on CD 18 and its been regular. I was able to get pregnant right away but it ended in a miscarriage. I had spotted 1 week from my expected period all the way up until I actually miscarried. I had ask my doctor about getting my progesterone levels tested due to my spotting and other symptoms that I have that could be due to low progesterone. My doctor had blew this off until the week I miscarried they finally agreed to testing my progesterone. My appointment was scheduled for the day after I miscarried so at that point it was too late... After healing from the miscarriage, I decided to switch doctors and try to get pregnant again and got pregnant once again right away. Again, I started spotting the week before my expected period up until I miscarried. I called the doctor the day I got my positive pregnancy test and told them I am once again spotting and asked to please have my progesterone levels tested and I was told no, that its not routine for pregnancies but they said to come in and get my hcg levels checked. That pregnancy has also ended in a miscarriage. I have now decided to take things into my own hands as I've had TWO doctors not take any of my symptoms seriously. If I look at my chart for everything I have been to to the doctor for in the last 5 years, everything is hormone related (acne, spotting, severe PMS symptoms, miscarriages). I've decided to try and get my hormones in line on my own. I was recommended these from groups I am in on Facebook and I'm praying this is my answer. My husband and I plan to start trying again after taking these for 1 whole month. UPDATE: I just had a period and had no cramping. I have no new acne as well but still working on clearing up my acne from before. I will update again when I have more to update. SECOND UPDATE: My acne is gone for the first time in forever. It’s amazing how my skin has cleared. My mood has been great as well. I also ovulated on time as usual. BUT I have spotting since the day of ovulation. I’m going on 6 days straight of spotting now and my period isn’t due for another 8 days. I have no idea why my spotting started so early this time. Usually my spotting will start 1 week before my expected period, not 14 (directly after ovulation). I am not sure if I’ll be getting my period earlier or what. The spotting has me concerned though. Update: my acne was gone and I was so happy. It has come back and in full force. I got pregnant for the third time. It ended in another miscarriage. I spotted for a total of 16 days then had a period for 5 days. My hair is greasy all of a sudden and the acne is horrible. I’m not sure I will be able to continue use. I have an appointment next week and will be discussing with my Doctor the next steps from here. ... show more

  • Feeling Good since I started these Pills. I'm Happy
This Vitex has been very helpful for me, I feel a lot better now since starting it. I was having ups and downs in many ways from occasional irregular periods, mood swings, as well as not ovulating every month and etc. Also I basically wasn't feeling my best overall for quite some time and I figured it was due to a hormonal imbalance. So started to do research a while back on what could help me out, and decided to add vitex to my daily vitamin routine. I've tried 1 other vitex brand before, and it was ok, no issues, but I still wasn't feeling much difference when taking them. So I started searching for another brand to try, and found VH Nutrition Vitex+. Since starting the VH Vitex+, I actually feel a big difference in how I feel now, I feel a lot better, like seriously a noticeable difference. Also upon testing I actually ovulated, which I haven't done in a bit. These pills are very helpful to me, and work well with my routine of already taken a multivitamin along with Myo-Inositol, which I had been taking for a while, I'm thankful I found the VH Vitex+ to try out. I take 1 pill with water in the morning on a empty, and 1 pill in the evening, and this has been working for me. I'm happy. They arrived on time, in perfect condition, untampered with, and sealed good by the way. They don't taste like anything to me, but then I'm not leaving them on my tongue long to taste them. lol! I have no complaints. ... show more

  • Got Pregnant on First Try!
My partner and I have been together for 10 years. I was on birth control for the first 5 years, then stopped taking birth control, but we did use the pull out method to prevent pregnancy -- we figured that if it happened, great! But we were not actively trying to get pregnant. The pull out method was a very effective form of birth control for us, 5 years of that with no pregnancy. It actually had me slightly concerned that we may have fertility problems, although we were not actively trying to get pregnant, so we had no way of knowing for sure. My cycle has always been very regular, every 28 days with a LIGHT period usually lasting 5 days. Also, I have always suffered from EXTREMELY painful menstrual cramps. Last December (before starting Vitex) my period was over a week late. This had never happened, and I was sure I was pregnant. I took a pregnancy test on day 5 after the missed period, but the result was negative. Still I was very sure I was pregnant. I had read about false negative pregnancy tests, which can certainly happen if your body is not producing enough HCG. I was exhibiting many of the other early signs of pregnancy, and with years of having a regular cycle I was certain that I was pregnant - which was very exciting for me! I planned on taking another pregnancy test in a week if menstruation did not occur. However, my period started 3 days later. I still am unsure and will never actually know, but I strongly believe that this was a miscarriage at 5 weeks. The idea of being pregnant made me so happy that I talked to my partner and we decided to start trying. I switched from my regular multivitamin to a Prenatal and began taking Vitex on January 12th, 2020. I had a regular period in January, and then (what I thought) was a very IRREGULAR period in February. My February "cycle" started out completely normal, exactly 28 days after my last cycle, with cramping just like normal. However, it was lighter than usual (lighter than the already light periods that I usually get), the consistency of the blood was thinner (almost watery), and the light constant flow lasted for 8 days (my period is usually 5 days). Then there was spotting... Every day I continued to spot and have mild cramps. At that point I was actually very disappointed with this supplement. The only change I had made was in my vitamins, and I assumed that the Vitex was messing with my cycle in a very negative way. I blamed the irregular period and the continued spot bleeding on Vitex, and started weening myself off of the supplement in the hopes that my cycle would return to normal. After 3-1/2 weeks of bleeding/spotting every day I went to the InstaCare for answers. And guess what? It turns out that I am pregnant!! My February "period" was actually implantation bleeding. Ultrasound shows a regular pregnancy and a little heartbeat. I am at 7-1/2 weeks now, but the spotting and cramping continues. I am concerned about the bleeding and spotting, and I know that I am still at high risk for miscarriage throughout the first trimester, but I do attribute the pregnancy to Vitex. I have an appointment with my PCP on Tuesday and will start seeing an OBGYN next week. Directions say to discontinue use once pregnant (and I had already started weening myself off) but I am very afraid of miscarrying at this point, especially with the rocky start we've had so far. I found an article online which states: "Pregnancy and miscarriage prevention: Vitex is not recommended for use during pregnancy, simply so that the pregnancy hormones can do what they need to do naturally. For women who tend to chronically miscarry or who have had a history of miscarriage, however, Vitex is safe and is recommended for use through the first trimester to help support hormonal balance, thus possibly helping to prevent further miscarriages. Once the first trimester is over, the placenta is well-formed and has taken over the job of hormone production and management. Vitex can now be discontinued." Therefore I plan to continue use throughout the first trimester, and I am writing this review to receive a free bottle :) ... show more
