    • Needs additional thermometer but it works
We have know hatched a total of 18 quail from two different rounds. Be sure to read the instructions very carefully and follow them. You will also need an additional thermometer to show humidity and we found the thermometer in the unit is not accurate and needs to be set at least 2-3 degrees higher to reach the needed heat.     • Good Incubator, hatched 4/12 quail eggs
I love how easy this incubator was to set up, took about 10 mins to fully figure out all that was needed for it, seems to be heating and holding that heat well. -Update (hatch day 5-6-23): Not exactly the best instructions or the best hatch rate, (4 hatched of 12, a bunch either were infertile or died early in the process) but I can say it will hatch chicks, the humidity is a little hard to gauge given the lack of a humity reader, but regardless, it did its job alright. If you can manage to figure out the humidity need for a very good hatch without the humidity reader with this incubator go right ahead. ^-^ I personally think im going to "upgrade" to their 36 egger that way I can gauge humidity a little better. ... show more

    • Perfect for my needs but turner stopped working!
The size and shape are perfect for my needs and that was tough to find. But the turner stopped working after the return window with Amazon closed. So now I have to spend time trying to troubleshoot it with the vendor, assuming that's even an option. The turner portion should have a more user-friendly connection to the lid; its a very small plug with exposed wires that seems very fragile. Better would be a plug that automatically engages when the lid is put on. Also when it was working, the eggs all "walked" towards one side of the box over time of turning and ended up piled up on one side, so I periodically had to space them out again. The temperature alarm should be able to be turned off if you don't choose to use it. The candling light is convenient. I only managed to hatch 3 chick's out of 2 sets of 12 eggs in 2 separate incubation periods. ... show more

I used this 16 egg incubator to hatch 6 duck eggs and through the 28 days I only had one hatch out of the 6. The temperature reading is not accurate and you will need to get yourself a hydrometer and temperature gauge in order to monitor the proper readings for your eggs. It’s small and compact. It works in your kitchen counter or table nearby but I was disappointed with the results. ... show more

    • Would get hotter on its own
Towards the 18th day it would get over 100 degrees sometimes up to 108. We had to unplug and reset several times. Eggs would have died if this was not caught. We are afraid to use a second time.

Opened package put it together plugged it in and it made a horrible sound. Unplugged it and took the cover off the fan and one of the propellers was broken off. Not sure if I’m sending it back or going to supper glue it back on. I really wanted to love this because my big old incubator is messing up *sent the incubator back and received the new one already two days later. Plugged it in and everything works.
