The airy design of this mattress drew me in. It was crucial to uncover something that could assist with my tendency to overheat at night. The springs seemed to work independently, adjusting to my movements without feeling stiff. The mattress also struck a nice balance between comfort and firmness. The top layer felt soft and inviting, but there was enough structure to keep me from sinking too deeply. This combination made it easier to stay comfortable no matter how I slept. Its quietness was another advantage. This mattress remained silent, unlike others I've used when every movement made noise or woke someone else. I didn't feel disturbed even if I moved during the night. It’s been a great addition to our bedroom, making bedtime something to look forward to. I thought memory foam mattresses were an amazing invention until I slept on them for 15 years. I’m in my 50’s now and have crushed discs and sciatica. I ordered this mattress in hopes of aligning my spine. It’s risky to buy an innerspring mattress sight unseen, but I’m glad I did. Is it a luxury mattress? No, it’s not but I had an immediate great nights sleep. It’s firm, but not at all uncomfortable. I’m also a big girl with heavy hips, and the firmness is not constricting it’s supportive. Look it’s not memory foam so there is movement when you get up, but not like old regular innerspring mattresses were. I would say the biggest con is that they did not reinforce the edges of the mattress, so if you sit on the edge of the bed it will dip. Overall I like this bed and sleep very well and wake up with much less pain than I did with memory foam. I definitely recommend as a low cost option for a supportive and comfortable bed that provides good spine alignment and helps with back pain. ... show more

    • No foam just innerspring and a thin pillow top

I was very excited about this mattress, I partly chose this one because of the multiple foam layers that were advertised and chose the pillow top to soften it even more while getting a medium feel. I was really excited when it was delivered because it looks great but I immediately noticed how firm it was, I guessed it was because it was still expanding. The pillow top is very thin but I thought I would feel the foam layers under it and it would make it softer but there are no layers underneath. I can feel the top of the coils with my hand right under pillow top. It is functionally just the innersprings with a thin pillow top layer on top. I hope the “foam” expands but since I can directly feel the metal under the fabric I’m not sure there is any foam there. Really disappointed. ... show more

I almost didn't buy after reading some of the reviews. I didn't have any problems with the mattress. I opened it in the spare room where there was plenty of room. Was ready to use 24 hrs. later, very comfy, & firm. Would purchase another if needed.

I should have stayed with Ashley never again! This mattress had no cushion, and not soft like most pillow tops. Don't order it if you want comfort! I wake up ever morning with lower back pain. It looks nice but that's all! I hate it
