This junk is nothing but a waste of money. It won't even seal a crack in a pipe section of the flex pipe that is only 3 years old, on a 4 cylinder car to boot! Didn't even make it 60 miles, this stuff wouldn't seal squat! It's one of those products you wonder how it is a product because it's completely useless. ... show more

I used this compound on a repair to my exhaust where a gasket was half gone where the catalytic converter meets the muffler. Worked perfectly - lasted about 3 months. The joint it filled was about 1/4 wide and overall about 4 inches long. Would highly recommend this product for a quick fix until you can get this type of repair done at your local garage with the proper parts. ... show more

Last time I had to patch a muffler, I must have used some other (I can't remember) brand of muffler putty and I used Versachem's Tiger patch muffler tape and it all worked very well. I love the Tiger patch tape. It lasts and works great. I thought that this stuff being the same brand as the great Tiger patch tape would be as good the putty I used as last time. But big disappointment, Versachem's muffler putty product bubbles, disintegrates, and flakes off in no time--then even more so when it starts raining. It actually seems to be somewhat water soluble even after it is supposed to be cured. And I did clean surfaces, but I do not think this stuff would work in any case.
