Features

  • Since 1899, Bag Balm has been the farmer's friend, helping to keep dairy cows from becoming chapped from the harsh environment of Vermont's rugged Northeast Kingdom. It's like having another hand on the farm or helper around the house
  • Bag Balm works hard all year round, and works well! Lanolin-enriched Bag Balm is a protective ointment that helps keep skin moisturized and soft. Its simple, tried and true formula is easy to apply and is designed to remain on the affected area
  • For use on cows: Thoroughly wash treated teats and udder with separate towels before each milking. To avoid contamination after each milking, bathe the udder with hot water, strip milk out and dry skin. Apply Bag Balm and massage gently twice daily
  • For use on dogs: Apply Vermont's Original Bag Balm Ointment liberally to cracked paw pads, dry noses, and wherever dry skin occurs. Bag Balm's simple formula is easy to apply and is designed to remain on the affected area for a long-lasting effect

  • Phenomenal product!
Size: 8 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I used this stuff on cows when I worked dairy farms when I was young. Now that I am much,,, older, I've noticed my feet had thick hard cracked skin especially around my heels and outsides of feet and even going up my ankles. Rather than buying a file and using that, I bought a tin of Bag Balm. I heavily greased up my feet and put on fresh socks. Two days later with only two applications my feet now feel like baby's feet. The thick old dead skin was shed like snakes skin. I went wild and used it on my knees and elbows. My knees had brown patches on them from tough skin, now gone. This stuff will absolutely blow your mind if you have dry tough skin. My hands now feel soft like a little kids from applying it. I've read some don't like the smell but I think it has a great smell and not medicinal. I would give this stuff a 10 because it works so good! ... show more

  • Miracle cream
Size: 8 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Honestly, I wasn’t really expecting this stuff to do more than simply hydrate my dogs paw pads, but it’s exceeded my expectations tremendously. It’s like neosporin for dogs! (Not really, but kinda!). I have a two year old 120lb Rotty that has super sensitive skin. Hes got some allergies so he is always scratching or trying to bite his little tail because he’s so itchy. He also has some calluses on his “elbows” from always laying on hard surfaces (even though he has alllll the soft beds lying around the house). Anyways, I put this on his tail, his calluses and his paw pads and it’s like a miracle! Almost overnight his calluses and paw pads were softer and the constant scratching stopped! He’s actually content and doesn’t scratch every five seconds! His skin is not so pink anymore either! Definitely worth a try. It will also help with dried noses!! It’s a baseline texture Andrew kinda has a little smell, but nothing you can’t deal with. Also, a little goes a very long way, but slathering it on the first time seems to help. Do paw pads at night when they’re sleeping. That way there isn’t paw prints all over your floors during the day as it has time to absorb into the skin (learned that one the hard way ;). ... show more

  • A nice balm for my horse
Size: 8 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I use this balm on my horse in the sensitive skin parts to keep it from getting chapped in the hot, humid weather. Works well and keeps my mare comfortable.

  • How To Keep Your Feet Looking Soft, Supple and Beautiful With Just 3 Ingredients
Size: 8 Ounce (Pack of 1)
There is nothing like bag balm, but it MUST be authentic from Vermont. My podiatrist swears by this and Coconut Oil- the kind that you use for cooking- NOT the type that liquifies without heating on the stove or in the oven, to keep a womans heels and any calluses one may have. He told me that 99% of "foot creams or softeners," are mainly water, and they do very little, if at all, to keep the feet supple and soft. I had been using various foot creams to keep the bottom of my heels supple. Calluses, however, cannot ever be permanently removed.Calluses are a sign that the way a person walks is off, for one of many reasons. Hammer toe, putting too much pressure on the wrong part of the foot, usually the toes. I'm a CCRN, and I can take seeing ANYTHING. But older folks(what am I talking about,) I am 62 myself! The one thing especially in women is when I have older patients and their heels are all cracked and dried out, because of no care. I'm in Florida, and it drives me crazy to see a nice looking, put together lady, that puts herself together before leaving the house- clothes, nails, jewelry-like she cares how she looks, when she leaves the house. But then I look down to see VERY lovely matching sandals, which many people wear year round here. But then she turns, just so, and I can see her heels. And it ruins the entire look. Cracked, dry, many times dirty- it is a REAL put off. So, a few years ago, I asked him how to prevent that. His answer was using a heel shaving device- VERY CAREFULLY, as one can do MUCH damage with those if you aren't careful. And he also told me to alternate nights after a good soak in the tub then either put on Coconut Oil- ONLY the kind that needs to be heated on the stove or in the oven, to liquify. He said the kind that is liquid in the store won't do a thing. Then alternate nights by using Genuine Vermont Bag Balm. And whichever you use for the night, cover the feet with 100% cotton socks. He looked at my heels today and said they were soft, supple and looked like the heels of a 30 some year old woman. He said his wife has used this routine for over 40 years now, and he said she also has the feet of a 30 year old woman. This stuff is AWESOME! ... show more
