This is a great set up to charge my controllers which saves buying TONS of batteries for myself and my families EXTENSIVE gaming hours. It works amazingly you set one or both controllers on the docking station and they charge wonderfully. The clean look of the docking station really blends into the same color as the controllers which gives it a nice clean look in our living room. As previously stated most everyone in my house ( 5+ people) play on the Xbox box one console, we were burning through so much money on batteries we could've probably bought a whole nother Xbox one with how much we'd spent. This allows us to save that money for future things ( such as the new Nintendo console coming out in march!) Now being a gamer I want long play time with these charged controllers, I've tested it out playing Assassin's creed syndicate for 14+ hours and they hold up amazingly, on my the box it says 18 hour play time. I haven't pushed that far but I am sure it could easily reach that or beyond! Item seems to work well. However when the battery dies while you are playing and the Xbox tells you "Controller Batteries Low" it really means it, Controller shut off and didn't turn back on until I charged them again. They fully charge in roughly two hours from completely dead. Batteries last between 3-8 hours (unsure exactly, used on different days) but batteries don't disconnect like they did on the Xbox 360 controllers with similar products The controllers sit comfortably in the base, although you do need to remove any attached controller devices (Keypad, Mic converter, etc.) in order to charge them. Had to remove one battery from the controller and it was incredibly tough to do so. I did manage to get it out, but was afraid of breaking my controller when I was in the process of it. The batteries do however fit well in the controller as if they were the regular battery cover. I recommend the product as an alternative to the play and charge kit and not in conjunction with. Otherwise solid product. ... show more

This is probably the greatest charging stand I have had over the years. You should always take your controllers off the charger after they are finished but there have been a few times where I have left them overnight by accident. Most chargers I have had will cause issues with the battery packs and their charge worth will go down, I haven't had that issue with this one. I also like that it plugs into the Xbox instead of taking up an outlet or having to worry about a short cord. ... show more

Best dock on the market in my opinion. I have bought many different companies docks. These last the longest and I don't just mean last on one charge. Over time packs wear out and don't hold as good of a charge like most on the market, these last I have over a year on mine of heavy use over 16 hours a day. If you don't have one already I highly recommend you get this charger ASAP. This is a total game changer! I wasted way too much money constantly replacing batteries, and as you know xbox controllers eat battery power at an astonishing rate. This charger looks cool and works great, charges relatively quickly and holds both controllers so if one dies just switch it out. The only down side is; don't forget to put it on the controller because if you run out in the middle of a game you can't charge and play. Also just a word of caution; when it says the battery is low, it means it, at that point you only have a couple minutes top left, so switch out before you start another game. No complaints though, this charging system has worked terrific and given me no problems. I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

These batteries are great if you keep one charging while you’re using the other. You’ll always have a fresh pack ready when the other dies. My last ones lasted me 2-3 years before I needed new batteries. My only complaint is you can’t buy just the batteries that work with the charging stand.

When I was searching for a charging station for my Xbone controllers, I looked at many products and did a lot of research. I came across the Venom charging station during the early stages of my search, and kept coming back to it because of all the positive reviews it received. If I'm playing my Xbone religiously (about 8 hours+ a day during my downtime from work and whatnot), the charge will usually last me a day and a half. Here's the thing though, once it tells you that the batteries are low, you better switch it then and there, because it dies within minutes of receiving the notification. Mine haven't melted and they seem to work good. Feels a little bit cheap but nothing I care about. UPDATE: I have changed my review to 4 stars because the right light on the base has gone out or that part doesn't charge. I haven't tested it yet but the left one still shows green/red. UPDATE 2: The light works again but I don't know how. It just randomly started working again. Didn't move the controllers or anything. I just came back after a week of not seeing (it was plugged in at that time) and it worked. ... show more
