  • An Impeccable Controller Experience!

I purchased the Xbox Core Wireless Gaming Controller in Pulse Red, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! From the moment I unboxed it, the vibrant color and sleek design caught my eye. The ergonomic shape fits perfectly in my hands, making extended gaming sessions a delight. The connectivity options are fantastic, allowing me to seamlessly switch between my Xbox Series X and PC without any hassle. The responsiveness of the buttons and the precision of the analog sticks truly enhance my gameplay, giving me the edge I need in competitive matches. One of my favorite features is the Bluetooth capability, which makes it effortless to connect to my Android and iOS devices for gaming on the go. I’ve even found the built-in share button incredibly convenient for capturing and sharing my best gaming moments with friends. Overall, this controller has exceeded my expectations in every way. • Rating Based On Black Controller - See Red Controller Comments
Style: Controller Color: Pulse Red
12/20/24: Update based on Black xBox Core Wireless Controller. Love it!! The red one is ugly and awful. You can't see the button markings because they're all red on black, who does this??? But the Black one is perfect. The button markings are different colors making them easy to distinguish if you're coming from a Nintendo Pro Controller. Would prefer all white button markings but this works well for me because at least I can see them while gaming. 11/28/24: Early review that will be updated as my use reveals new things. Bought this controller because it was available and I could get it right away. I normally play with my Black Nintendo Pro Controller and it works everywhere I need it to on my Steam games. Got a fix / patch recently that kept me from using my boat and this controller, after I updated it, learned how to use it with the button configuration differences saved me. I'm playing again and happy. It performs well for now and I am cautiously optimistic based on the reviews, but I immediately ordered two in Black so I can move this one to emergency use only. Meanwhile I have a controller that works with my boat and Happy Thanksgiving to me. Playing my heart out since last night after setting it up. Buy direct from Amazon, sold and shipped, and you'll probably get a good one. I'll report back later. That said, what brainiac at Microsoft thought it would be a good idea to make a two tone controller with white, on the back yet. hello, dirty all the time, and yes, you don't see it, but it hurts my eyes which is why I play with black controllers. Very light sensitive here. Microsoft must not understand that there are other folks like me out there. Fine the design team needs to get out more. ... show more

  • Much Nicer than the Older Xbox One Controllers
Style: Controller Color: Pulse Red
I decided to finally replace my old Xbox One controller that I've had since 2017. I've replaced so many parts in that controller over the years, when the triggers started sticking (due to the foam bumper pad behind the triggers having worn out) I decided to just buy a new, updated controller. Out of the box, it just felt better to hold, and way more robust than my Xbox One controller. The triggers are solid, and have a small stippled grip texture to them that you can find on the handles. The thumbsticks have more grip to them, although the thumb sticks on my old controller are worn down (despite having been replaced once in the past) I definitely don't remember the texture being so pronounced. While we're on thumbsticks, the stick sensors themselves feel exactly the same... Probably because they are the same sensors, or maybe a newer revision of the same sensor. The D-pad is a big improvement, it's very clicky, unlike the mushy Xbox One D-pad. It also features a full circle D-pad (reminiscent of older Xbox controllers) instead of a plus (+) D-pad, making diagonal D-pad use more accessible and ergonomic. The bumpers feel a bit more clicky and definitely has less play and mush. The center buttons are about the same, with the inclusion of the Share button. The primary face buttons (A,B,X,Y) are exactly the same... Maybe not as noisy, although that applies to most of the controller, except the D-pad. The sync button is similar, just feels a little more solid. The I/O is the same, with the exception of the charging/data port, it is now USB-C. Such a massive upgrade over micro USB. Micro USB has always been finicky and unreliable. This was a big motivator for me getting a new controller instead of just "fixing" the triggers in my old one (which I may still do, it'll probably just be a backup controller) The rumble effects are noticeably improved, it feels a bit more stable and a lot less noisy. Overall, the Xbox Series X/S controllers are way nicer than the older Xbox One controllers and it makes me regret waiting so long to get one. I should add, the controller also came with batteries, but not a cable. (Though, outside of PC gamers, who buys a wireless controller to play plugged in?) ... show more
