I have 3 dogs, a Great Dane, Bully, and a Chihuahua. All 3 sleep together on a dog bed in my room. When I leave I put them outside so I got this for them for the porch and have put a heat lamp over top if it’s cold. All 3 of them fit perfectly in this one house which is the XL. My Dane is 150lbs alone. But they still have room in there. It’s very spacious, an awesome deal for the price. I’m a female and put this together by myself within 20 minutes. This was beyond what I expected. Comes in the smallest box ever, made me a touch nervous. Each of the pipes are metal, connectors although plastic are very thick and heavy duty. The metal poles remind me of tent poles with the elastic in between so they just sort of pop together. The tent material itself is very thick and heavy duty. It all either slides over the metal poles and/or wraps around a pole and velcros together. Got it together very quick and easy. Keep in mind where you want this to end up in your home or outside as once together, the big ones do not fit through doorways (doh, had to take it back apart). I threw in our dog bed, and he loves his new home! I actually climbed in myself and yes it could hold me just fine! (I am 170lbs) My dog is just over a year old and over 60lbs, Shephard mix. Although he might get a touch cold, he hates any type of blankets on or around him or his bed. The cover on the bed is as much as he will tolerate. This type of enclosure allows us to control the air flow to him with all the side flaps, separate from any fans within the room. Amazing value for the price! ... show more

Putting it together is a bit of a challenge. Not everything had stickers and I had the upper arms mixed up at first and didn’t catch it until k was trying to put the tent on it. Once I fixed the arms the top went on fine. I wish the areas with the Velcro on the bottom were bigger. The flaps that roll up secure with two small squares of Velcro. There is a gap at the corners where rain and wind can get it. When opening it you will want to air it out for a bit. It has a strong plastic chemical smell. I am using this for a chunky outdoor cat that refused to go near the feral cat house I bought. I bought a small tarp and secured it over the top tot make it extra water proof. And tossed a new bed and heating pad in it for her. There are gaps where the legs connect that you can run a cord through. ... show more

We got this as a birthday present for our fur baby! As soon as I saw this I knew he had to have it! He is a rather larger dog and I thought he would love to sleep at an elevation! This came very well packed and secured and everything was exactly as described in the ad down to the measurements! This is super easy to fully a symbol and then it's ready to go! Super sturdy and very durable and well made! This is also nicely insulated so it is nice and warm! Has a nice appearance and looks great in his own little living space. All the measurements match up perfectly so it was the perfect size that we had for it. Really cannot be happier and I'm very impressed by the build quality as well as how nice everything is! I'm pretty happy with this dog house. I got the XL for my 75 pound dalmation, and it's a great size. Plenty of room for her to turn around and get comfy. Even enough room that if she wants to sleep next to the dog house heater I put in one end she can, or she can sleep on the other side and stay cooler. The mesh floor is very strong, similar to trampoline material and mesh so any moisture can fall through. The cover is roughly like a very heavy duty grill cover or heavy duty canvas tarp. The poles are all heavy aluminum and will last for many years. The only potential weak spot are the plastic connectors that hold the poles together. I could see those lasting a few years but the hot/cold of the seasons outside might make them brittle and crack. I'll MacGyver them if that happens. Might find standard PVC pipe adaptors that fit with minor adjustments if needed. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality and size of this puppy. Recommended. ... show more

Our 190+ lb dog fits on this largest dog house size! He scoots in & out of this elevated dog house quite quickly now. At first though, he was skeptical & just kept looking & then ignoring it for a few days. Then, 1 day we see him lounging in there with his big head peeking out. Now, it's his outdoor home. He's a huge furry dog. The breathable mesh fabric on the bottom & sides seem to keep him cool. Plus the floor's elevated to really air him out from below. It's still mostly warm where we live. So, this dog house has become a hit for him. When it rained the last few weeks, we quickly pull down the cover on the mesh sides on to the velcro. Kept him dry yet airy.
