The pouches are a loose but if you know how to molle stuff to a vest they all stay on really well. The thickness of this vest is quite good and can bend and move to adjust to your body. It's a good sturdy old fashion vest. Don't spect something modern like an AVS (Assault Vest System), this is an integral vest, that means it opens by the sides or the shoulders using velcro and plastic side release buckles, providing a quick release if you ever need to take off the vest ASAP. It also means that eventually the velcro will stop being effective, but properly adjusted, you could get in and out of this vest by slip in and/or out. Being integral means that what you see is what you get. This is NOT a modular vest like the newer AVSs, but like the old vests, you have 7 MOLLE lines in the front, and 9 in the back (3 non standard velcro type), and if you need more attachment grids, you have 4 MOLLE lines at each side. Like in the old days, everything turns around this, not around a modular system. Because this is an integral vest, it will be adjusted around the sides and shoulders, not around a harness and/or skeletal cummerbund like in the newer AVS, which means it's faster and less troublesome. That being said, this is a sturdy vest. Don't get your hopes too high, for 40 bucks this will break, eventually, but until then, with a moderate use, this baby could at least endure for 2 or 3 years, maybe more. I didn't get any kind of smell but I believe that's the flip of a coin. Clearly you can notice some small flaws, like some loose threads here and there, but everything is sewed as supposed to. Is it comfortable to wear?, to some degree, yes. Depending on the initial adjustment, you could experience some pressure around the collar bones when you are aiming, and be VERY aware: this baby will make you sweat like a pig on a sunny summer day because there is NO breathable thread here AT ALL, and the insides of the vest are sewed with a plastic thread that will catch heat. All and all, additional to the vest you will also get a normal admin pouch, 2 radio pouches that could be used also as grande pouches, 1 general pouch, and 1 x3 magazine pouch, all this for 40 bucks + shipment and taxes if you purchased it outside USA. That's a lot of bang for the buck. If you are looking for a good old fashion integral vest, to used it as your everyday vest or as your first airsoft vest, this very much could be. ... show more

Not a bad vest, the velcro straps are solid and there are tons of places you can attach other pouches so it definitely has versatility. My qualms with it are that it feels pretty stiff as far as vests go, but for the price and the fact it’s off Amazon I guess it’s not a bad value for the money. Feel like this was the best value when looking for airsoft best in Amazon. Fits XL adult (6ft 220lbs) no problem. Didn't even need all of the pouches so I took some off. Very happy with the quality. I always wanted a tactical vest, so I finally relented and bought this one. I am 5'10'' and it fits me well. It has plenty of pockets for magazines and other items. It doesnt have room for plates, so this wouldnt hold up in combat. It's perfect for airsoft though, or just going to the range.

As a former Marine I bought this hoping it would be as good as the reviews said it was. I am not disappointed. It holds my body armor and has the molle system so it is adaptable. It is adjustable for height and girth - I am 6' and 170 pounds. It would accommodate both larger and smaller people. Three front pouches hold 30 round AR mags. The 20 round mags don't work because they are too short and will be hard to retrieve. The two radio pouches will also hold mags if needed but not as easily. Will need to buy pistol mag pouches. Overall, good vest for the price. Will have it ready to go when the antifa and/or blm thugs arrive. Update - Too many people are complaining about various aspects regarding the capability of this rig. People - you are spending $36 - it isn't a Cadillac. You need to know your tactical situation and buy a rig for that scenario. This will hold kevlar body armor, not plates. It isn't designed for plates. It will hold them but they will move around. If, as I suspect, most of you are buying this to be prepared but hope you will never need it, then it will work fine. If, on the other hand, you are hard core and fancy yourself a warrior (when you get home from your day job) you should step up and spend a few hundred dollars and get what you THINK this one is.
