The first one I used, I had thought I bought a dud. It states you do not have to remover the drain plug. The snake just tore apart. I took the plug out and gave another one a shot. It broke up the build up and pulled out the clogs. So it is I.portant to note, you DO need to remove the drain plug. These are definitely a one and done, they break apart when used.     • Crazy amazing results, with the first use!!!
I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect with this, as I’ve never used any type of tool, to clean hair/unclog previously. However, this exceeded any expectations I had! The first try, before I got it two inches in the drain, and TMI, a good deal of hair came out! Gross, yes... but, AMAZING! It truly works! My family was shocked to see how much actually came out. Including a sticker, thanks to my 4 year old niece lol. The value of the pack, compared to the price, makes it a no brainer! I’m used to purchasing jugs of Drainol, (which isn’t cheap!) and this, is a way better option! Drainol doesn’t remove the clog, but simply “push” it down further in the pipes anyway. This little baby saved the day, between two girls in the house with long curly hair...well the tub was miserably clogged. Draino didn’t touch it. But this little orange beauty released a revolting hair monster from deep within the drain. It was seriously disgusting. Even the cat ran away in horror. Have a glove or plastic bag handy so you don’t have to touch the slimy hair globs from hell. So gross. BUT i digress. Cleaned out clogged bathroom sink. One of these little gems accomplished in five minutes what a year of poking with wires, pouring concoctions down the drain and every other hint possible did not come close to achieving.     • Brittle plastic. Breaks INSIDE your drain
I’ve used many other drain zippers before. This is the first one where the plastic is so brittle that it broke INSIDE my drain. Now I have an 8” long broken zipper inside my drain. The only way to remove it is to disassemble my tub plumbing. Buy one of the many other brands of drain zipper. Or since it’s so hard to find legit companies on Amazon for these easy-to-copy products, go to a brick and mortar store and they are likely to carry a reliable brand. ... show more

Soooooo easy to use and get the drains flowing again. If you have a wife or daughters and slow shower drains this is your pal. pop it in pull it out and a whole lot of nasty comes with it. Toss it in the trash and get back to the game.

For the cost, it did it’s job. Not incredibly sturdy and I was concerned that at some point the plastic teeth would completely snap off and back into the drain with the gunk I was trying to fish out, but I don’t think any did. However, the plastic teeth did start to snap and had I not noticed that, I probably would have lost some if I went in for another round after that point.
