I use this for beachcombing, to hold my agates and jasper. It's very well made, thick canvas. The zippers feel heavy duty. I've used other fanny packs, which haven't lasted. This feels like it should last for years. It's quite roomy. The only negative is that it is pretty small around the waist, without the extender on the band. Just another inch would be great. But I'm using it as is, without the added piece. It's a bit tight, but still comfortable. I love it! The red matches the backpack I use for larger rocks. Pleasantly surprised by this fanny pack. The quality is excellent; very well made, Material is light, flexible and strong. 4 convenient pockets in front, with a zipper pocket on the back. Easily adjustable to size of waist and even provides an extension if needed. Favorite part of this pack is that the main pocket, which is expandable and opens to a flat bottom. Flat bottom is great in comparison to some that have the curved design, when taking it off to have lunch it easily and neatly sat on a bench and wasn't going to fall anywhere. Holds more than what I would have expected. It makes Hiking great to be able to bring my phone, water bottle tucked inside, and power bars as well, only used two pockets and the back zipper pocket, plenty room for more. Perfect taking my grandkids to the park. Much easier to use than a purse or bag, as I can be hands free to play with the kids and not worry about having to set my bag or purse down, as we run from place to place. Ideally, I can see it's use in traveling as well, with the various pockets for essential items that are always needed in and around a vacation; not to mention extra room for items to bring on the plane in addition to a carry on. Even with the items in the bag, the fit against the body is good, which makes it much lighter than one that hangs loosely and bounces around. Definitely would recommend. ... show more

    • Very Good Price, Very Good Product, but with Two Reservations
This seems a well designed and well made fanny pack, with five compartments including one that is very large and two belt extensions so that someone of considerable belly bulk can use it. It might have earned five stars, but I give it four only because of two drawbacks: (1) The female ends of the plastic buckles are not robust and can crack if not handled with care. I have numerous devices with such buckles and have never before seen one like these. In fact, my original purchase arrived with one buckle cracked through; I got another and returned the first one. The second one did not have a cracked buckle. By taking care with the buckles, I should have no further problem. (2) Two of the five pockets are large and very large. The zippers are so configured to open the pockets as wide as possible to admit items that might not otherwise comfortably fit. The problem here is that if one of these pockets is zipped open too far, it can be very difficult to zip it closed again with one hand, because the pocket can become gaped open too far to permit it. Two hands then are required. Normally, I don't need to zip open these pockets far enough to produce this issue, so that's how I cope with it. Ordered dark blue but received light blue. Shade of blue isn't a deal breaker. At time of this posting, just receive and haven't used. My prior pouch from another company lasted for eight years. I expect any new pouch should last for years. However, stitching at one corner of the pack is concerning. Worried it will split open in coming weeks or months, only usage over time will answer that question. The largest compartment doesn't have a couple of small net-like holders to insert something like a small flash light and medicine bottle. So, will have to dig to find stuff. Again, concerned about stitching at one coroner of the pouch. Only time will answer if that stitching will hold-up with daily usage... It came with two extra attachments for belt length, which is nice. Update: Being using for month and half. So far, it's holding-up great. Pockets should be a tad lager for width. Smallest front pocket is too tight to use, and I think they should simply not put one there. Second pocket is where I put the wallet, and it could be a tad wider and deeper. Third pocket I put my glasses. I use a soft-shell carry for my glasses, the carry with glasses inside is a perfect fit. Forth pocket is for a pen, paper pad, small bottle of ibuprofen, emergency repair kit for glasses... Fifth pocket has small emergency flashlight that rides nicely at the bottom, then my keys are on top of that. Perfect fit for both items. ... show more

    • Perfect size, just what I was looking for!
I've used packs like this forever, as a "man bag" (purse), as I don't like stuffing my pockets with all the stuff I like to carry. I used to buy "Western Packs" at the annual county fair, and they'd typically last a couple of years. I can't find them at the fair anymore; when the last one wore out I managed to find a leather replacement that was close to what I'd been using. That finally wore to the point I had to replace it. I searched high and low on Amazon—it's hard to tell exactly what you'd be getting from the description, but I finally settled on a couple to try, and this one is perfect. It's a little smaller than what it's replacing, but once I transferred all the essentials into it I realized I was carrying too much, just because I could. And it *does* hold my Kindle, for the rare times I need to carry it to kill time at the dentist. It has four compartments besides the main one: the large back one for my passport and a cache of large bills, a tiny front one just the right size for my Covid vaccine card, then one for a some pens, and a larger one that holds my two phones (don't ask). All in all, I'm quite pleased. I also like the fact that it has extra belt sections—I don't normally wear it as a waist pack, so I can clip the 'ears' together; and when I *do* need to, add the long section so it fits my waist. ... show more
