  • It works well
I just needed to buy a new door for this but it was not available so i purchased the entire thing then took the door off and threw the rest away.

  • Be careful on the inlet...
Decent product, although the u-clip behind the water inlet snapped on installation, use caution when connecting plumbing to the inlet. Also started to snap the other one on the replacement but caught it in time, plastic is hard with minimal flexibility, with a part that is prone to break I don't see why they don't switch to a metal retaining clip or offer the clip as a replacement if it's broken, 3 stars on construction, 4.5 on functionality, overall satisfaction 3.5. Inconvenience prevented a 5 star score ... show more

  • Only a year old and wetting the floor.
Cracks and a rough edge caused a leak that soaked the floor. This brand will never be on my list again. Oh, and the plastic retaining clip broke off during installation. I should've taken that as a sign.

  • It's a very nice inlet for your water tank if worked perfectly for fine for me.
I like it It's a nice lock door with a spout to going into the water tank. It's got one hole that you can hook a line to that runs to the tank that allows the air to flow out. Any other one I use for the inlet for the water. The other one I just don't use. I wouldn't recommend it for city water. But if you have a gravity-fed tank it'll work perfect. I could see it breaking if you over tighten the screws screwing it in and fastening it down. There is no gasket though It would be nice if they had a gasket that would mount behind it to seal it one bolting it to or screwing it to your trailer or whatever you're using it for. Overall I'm very pleased It comes with two keys It locks nice It's really nice I debated for a long time for the reviews and ended up doing it anyways and I'm glad I did. ... show more

  • It started out great...then, well. Really, it's garbage. Avoid it.
Easy to install. Appeared great. But it ain't. It was noisy. How can an inanimate object be noisy? I am glad you asked. This particular thing had a very noisy water flow. It sounded like a kazoo whistle whenever water flowed. Until it didn't. When it stopped making that sound, the water volume flowed so much that the RV shower didn't function, the on-demand water heater wouldn't ignite and the kitchen sink sprayer wouldn't engage. Could it be the campground water pressure, I hear you ask? Nope. I have a pressure regulator, with a pressure gauge and it is set at 45 max. When we got home, I tried it and it was the same. I turned the pressure regulator all the way up to house pressure, which is 62ish. Same volume inside the RV. I bypassed the regulator and the same volume inside the RV. I swapped hoses in case it had collapsed inside and same pressure inside the RV. So, I disconnected RV, tested volume and pressure on the hose to spigot, and then attached pressure regulator and reset the regulator to its previous 45psi. It works as intended. So, I started investigating and found that this Valterra garbage has its own internal backflow preventer. That preventer has come apart clogged the RV internal water line. I have an internal blockage in the PEX line and have to have it cut out and replaced. That means tearing paneling, etc. THANKS for selling me garbage and costing me parts and labor to replace. One quote? $300. Another? $200-800 depending on how far they have to go. Nice, huh? I should've bought the one from my local RV store. Yea it was 2x the cost of this garbage, but you get what you pay for, right? ... show more

  • One Slight Issue
The part itself was easy enough to install, however....... I don't know if I'm using correct terminology as I'm new to the whole RV experience. The inlet port on the inside of this part is pointing up at about a 45 degree angle. This prevented me from being able to attach the rigid plastic water line to it. Since there is no real give in the water line, trying to force it to even slightly bend in order to screw in placed enough pressure on the point of attachment that it leaked. I ended up having to remove part of the rigid water line and replace it with a piece of Accuflex 150 psi from the first elbow to the inlet port using new brass fittings and 1/2" pinch clamps. Works like a charm now! ... show more
