    • Beautiful colors, but watch out for pleats
I was looking for a pretty top for my retirement party - a casual get together with friends and family. After shopping locally and not finding anything that stood out but casual, I found this online and ordered 2 different colors (separate review left for the one I did not keep). The colors in this matched the photo exactly - very pretty color combination. The body has 2 layers which was great because it easily covered my bra straps as well as the button/zipper area of my black pants. The sleeves had the sheer overlay only which gave it a feminine look. Both fabrics were very comfortable with no scratchy feel at the seams. I didn't give this 5 stars for two reasons: the length is very long (shortening it isn't an option because you'd lose parts of the floral design at the bottom), and due to the neckline pleats. They have a sheen and show through the overlay. On the green top it wasn't bad, but on the darker top (which I returned) it was extremely noticeable and detracted from the floral design. All-in-all a nice top (especially if you're average/tall height) but go for the lighter colors due to the visible pleats. ... show more

I got the dark green top. Soft, comfortable, 3/4 sleeves which I love, a lovely semi-sheer look with a nice built-in lining, so not transparent at all. No hot feeling—I’m heat sensitive. Elegant look. Pleats are beautiful. I will hand wash & hang to dry on a padded hanger. I got XL because I’m wheelchair bound & I hate feeling restricted. I weigh about 70 kilos, am 160 cm tall (google for pounds & inches conversion) but wore a S or XS all my life, before I got terminally ill. But now I’m unable to do the mountain hiking & exercising that was always a big part of my life. The XL does not appear humongous however, & for me it’s the perfect fit. The length is good because I prefer to cover my bum. Even though I can’t stand or walk, I still prefer some length in my tops, but not too much. For me the length is ideal. The dark green top coordinates with dark olive pants or khaki pants, & I have a lightweight soft pink scarf (there are tiny pink flowers in the design) for an accent touch. Looks pretty with a pearl necklace. Trying to look nice in a wheelchair, with an ugly 100% terminal disease, is challenging. 😔 ... show more

Okay, Ladies, I just received this blouse order a few days ago and want to clarify a few things. To begin, I ordered the "dark purple" blouse with the black, velvety print on it. For starters, this blouse is very, very attractive. I have dark features (Hispanic female), so this color really popped on me. The blouse itself could EASILY pass for something purchased at a local Macy's, Dillards, or Belks department store. Second, I was very skeptical about TRUE SIZING based on the Amazon reviews. I am 5'8" tall, wear a 36-C bra, weigh about 155-lbs, and wear size 8-10/Medium blouse normally. So many reviews indicated that this blouse runs SMALLER than it should and that one should buy a size larger than what they usually wear. I wear a MEDIUM in ladies' blouses, so I almost ordered a Large due to these ERRONEOUS REVIEWS. To be direct, I have no earthly idea what these ladies are talking about, because the size Medium that I received was PERFECT sizing for an 8-10 in women's blouses. Maybe these ladies need to admit they wear a size larger than what they would like to admit? Just saying. Moving on... Also, the blouse (in the purple/black design) I ordered is very versatile. One can easily wear to a professional office environment or a nice dinner, dressed up with nice skirt and heels. Liked it just fine. I usually prefer cotton fabrics, but this was comfy and flattering, especially for covering a belly that could be a tad more trim. Nice colors and design. I get complements wearing them. In winter, I combine with a vest.
