These are perfect for young birds, they can break apart easily and can be joined together easily, I bought 2 and put them into an L shape with the open doors as access, I added a heavy tarp to protect from the sun and rain during the day when my young pullets are outside. It's a great in between cage when they are too big for the broader but not old enough to go in qith the adults. This would also be a great chicken tractor to move around the yard if you added wheels however 2 people can pick it up and move it if you don't have wheels. Assembly is easy enough. It fits about six to eight chickens but not much room to move around. I just needed it for a shelter in the morning hours, so it was fine. I added my own tarp, because the one they give you is very flimsy.

This run is much smaller than it looks in the picture (which I knew based on the dimensions). It was kind of a pain to put together and it is pretty flimsy. We wanted it to be something that could easily moved around but this will come apart if you try to move it around. We had to zip tie the sections together to keep it from coming apart. We are making it work for our ducks but would have been better off building our own run. This would be good for a rabbit though. ... show more

    • Strong, but not sturdy. Safe, but not invincible.
We are new to raising chickens. When the chickens went outside after living in their brooder- setting this up as a play yard adjacent to the coop was so easy, we were immediately worried a raccoon would figure it out. That was 8 weeks ago and so far, so good. The gates stick a little bit, but it is more of a safety feature than a glitch. One suggestion was to ziptie all the corners in place- we highly recommend that. There is a bar across the middle the short way, which has been a great perch for the chickens. We have 5 chickens, so this has been impressively strong for their combined weight of about 30lbs. We lift and move the coop and play yard (we call this The Chicken Play Yard) every 1-2 weeks so our grass isn't completely destroyed. For 2 of us, it lifts incredibly easy when we move it, yet it doesn't flinch in a summer storm and, when given free roam, the chickens go on top of it without the structure struggling with their claws or flapping if there are a few of them on top. Overall, as newbies- this was easy to assemble and has been a great value. I don't know that it is our long term plan or how long it will survive. for $100, 1-2 seasons seems within reason. ... show more

This cage is amazing for its price. You can fit probably like 8 big chickens in here. I have 6 chicks & 3 ducks. They’re about 2 or 3 weeks old so they’re still small. I will be putting them in here in the day time and at night I will put them back inside. The green tarp that comes in this package is a bit cheap but it’ll do for now. But this cage is so easy to put together, all you need is pliers & someone else to help you and you’re good to go. You can add it to a wooden chicken coop easily. We will be adding a chicken coop to it in the future. Buy it if you’re thinking about buying it !!😊 the measurements to it are CORRECT (: so measure your space before you buy. ... show more

Piece of crap. Do not buy. Totally a scam and not even worth the money. A child toy of a coop. Is not the size it says and not all the pieces are there. Not a good chicken run.

This coop/cage is exactly what I wanted and needed. Right now it’s being used as a nursery for my guinea fowl keets, but in the future it will be used as a tractor coop for Cornish cross chickens. It went together easily and provides the room and protection the birds need. The roosting pole is an added benefit for birds like guineas. The sun shade is skimpy, and I do wish it were wider to give a bit more protection, but it serves its purpose where I’ve placed it over the roosting bar. Decent for the price, but don't think you're getting a good deal, you're getting what you pay for. Absolutely not predator proof. I was hoping to be able to move it around the yard throughout the day, but it can't be done without taking it apart and reassembling it. The little springs barely hold it together, and unless you have pretty soft dirt everywhere, the flimsy little rods that hold the corners together just bend when you try to push them into the ground to hold it in place. I chose this one since shipping time said it'd get here the Thursday before the weekend I needed it, but that was an absolute lie. It finally arrived the next Monday, so don't put any faith in Amazon's estimate. ... show more
