This men's fragrance or cologne/perfume smells really really great! This is a great dupe of Valentino Uomo Born in Roma for men. It smells pretty much like the original. I'm not a cologne guy, but even a guy like me needs a bottle or two for special occasions or just to mix things up for the wife. This is a fairly sweet, fresh scent. I'm not sure what woodsy smells like, but this doesn't strike me as woodsy or spicey. That to me says Whiskey or Cognac. An ornately trimmed dark study. This is more like a Sprite. Crisp, clean, clear. Something I could wear everyday and probably not be noticed unless someone got close. My wife or otherwise, appropriate or accident, it's better to be remembered as smelling nice rather than not, right? I think I like the fact that this cologne is neither long lasting nor overpowering. If applied correctly, it just smells nice if someone stumbles into it or you. This wasn't what I was expecting, but it definitely has exceeded my expectations. It's a great fragrance for a guy like me not trying to wear a fragrance if that makes any sense. ... show more

I once observed the trick many use, spray a cologne into the air and walk into it - that is how you need to apply this scent, it is quite powerful not in the sense that the scent is strong, in the sense that it is concentrated. As a guy, I like the scent but have to be careful to only get that mist on me otherwise it is too concentrated. It has a unique blend of woodsy, with violet and sage, masculine for sure as long as you keep it lightly applied. I like the bottle because it is shorter and fits upright into a drawer. ... show more

I liked this scent. In the web page it stated that it is a wood smell. I usually really like wood smells but this one had a wonderful chemical sort of scent added. It mixed with the wood scent was awesome. Not what I expected, but better. Also, a little bit of perfume, applied like a spray or 2 in the morning, lasted 2 days until people stopped noticing. Another thing was that it goes away really quick with a shower. It's longevity is perfect. Now only 100ml for $24 was a little steep. But maybe I'm just a cheapo. As soon as I took cellophane off box The scent of the cologne smelt. Very overpowering. After spraying on arm not as strong. Sweet woodsy scent. Spray a bit at first so not overpowered by smell. Scent lasted a few hours. Blended well with body's natural odor and did not smell funky or weird. That makes a difference, not all colognes scents smell good on everyone. Giftable. I dont get much floral from it but i realllly like it. Good ol woody... spice? Salty scent. I think husband will like it, if not he can just suck it up or somethin. Not super strong and last my work day, so at least 8ish hours.
