While creating your custom sound, M-200 ANC enables you to get completely lost in it with its hybrid active noise cancellation which can be adjusted to 10 different levels. A combination of feed-forward and feed-back microphones work together to make M-200 ANC’s noise cancellation as adaptive as possible, intelligently neutralizing outside distractions to envelop the wearer in their sound only. Control your audio, answer calls and access voice assistants with an intuitive interface designed to make life flow a little more seamlessly. Cover the left earcup to activate the “Voice In” feature, lowering the volume momentarily and pausing your ANC for moments that require your attention. While soft to the touch with a 100% premium PU leather exterior, M-200 ANC is extremely durable thanks to a metal-build core and flexible headband. Large ear cups and replaceable magnetic memory foam cushions complete the M-200 ANC’s incredibly comfortable design to make it perfect for ‘all day, every day’ wear. Lightweight and featuring a CliqFold hinge, the M-200 ANC fold effortlessly into their protective Exoskeleton carry case so they’re ready to hit the road when you are. • Sounds completely different than any other V-Moda headphones
These are a completely different sounding set of cans than any previous V-Moda models, sound signature is different. I have the Crossfade Wireless 2 Codex, Crossfade Wireless, M-100, XS, and I think since Roland took over they tuned these headphones to sound more like Roland headphones than of V-Modas. Sound is still very good though, frequency is flat across the board and you can download the app and adjust the equalizer to your liking. Bass is deep, tight and punchy by default, punchier than any of the previous models. To me, these sound like they brought the lows, mids and highs to an even level, and some people may not like this sound, but as mentioned it all can be changed and tweaked in the app. One thing I don't know is if these M-200 ANC's sound anything like the original M-200 wired ones, I doubt it though since the ANC uses smaller 40mm drivers and the original uses 50mm. For anyone who's a big V-Moda fan and owned a few pairs of other model V-Modas and looking to get these, just letting you know you'll be in for a surprise as these don't have that V-Moda signature sound that we're used to, but they're still really good. The noise cancelling is good, but not the best out there. They do a fairly decent job in blocking out external noise, but if you're walking down the street and someone drives past you with engine revving high then you could still hear it. I have a pair of Sony WH-1000XM4's, which have much better noise cancelling, the M-200 ANC's are nowhere near as good. These are very comfortable and well built, I could wear them all throughout work without any fatigue or discomfort, and they're very strong and sturdy. I think they have better construction than any previous models. One thing that sucks is the volume control buttons placement on the top of the right earcup, especially the button to lower the volume. It's a bit tight and awkward to get to, so you might have to tilt the ear cup outwards slightly to access volume lowering button. The app could definitely use some work. As of this writing, there's and issue with updating the headphone firmware, even though you've updated it, when you go back it'll still say the firmware is ready to be updated, no matter how many times you do it. I also found that updating the firmware from the app has caused issues later with trying to reconnect the headphones, so I just unpaired and repaired them and left the firmware settings alone (I'm gonna wait till they come out with one that actually works), and everything works fine. Overall, I think these are a great set of cans ... show more

  • Rugged and Reliable. Consistent. ANC is good enough.
Well-Made. Easy to set up. Works Consistently. I'm Keeping them. I've been using them for listening to music, speaking on my phone, and for added comfort in noisy public spaces. The Sony WH-1000XM4 have better ANC are more comfortable hanging around my neck, but those headphones feel fragile, can't be used while charging, and keep enabling a feature that disables ANC if I talk. They have a lot of bells and whistles that make daily operation more complicated than I want. ... show more

  • Terrible. Muddy audio, awkwardly stiff buttons, super shallow ear cups
Not sure if I got a bad pair or if this is just how it sounds (this is the first V-Moda I've ever tried), but this doesn't even compete with a $150 pair of wired headphones. Absolutely not worth the price. Pros: - Feels durable, and I do love how compact they fold up into their case. That's pretty impressive, and far better than most. - Very stable on my head, among the best I've tried. Weight and grip is nicely spread around, rather than just at one or two points. - Trivially-replaced earpads. I love these magnetic setups, no more messing with and possibly breaking clips. They're totally stable too, no shifting and no fear of them falling out. Very nice. Cons: - I vastly prefer buttons over touch (touch can be nice, but it has issues in so many situations), but not when they're like this. All three of the top buttons are so stiff that they're awkward to use. You absolutely have to brace the bottom of the headphones with your thumb... but there's not an easy way to do that due to the angled sides, and the buttons are half covered by the hinge. And then my volume-down is even stiffer and barely clicks so it's hard to tell when it actually worked or not. Not *quite* the worst headset buttons I've tried, but trying hard to dig down to that level. - Ear cups are *shockingly* shallow. By far the shallowest headphones I've tried. My ears are roughly normal, maybe a bit large (I barely touch the back on some headphones, not at all on others), and I'm absolutely bottoming out in these. The circumference is plenty large, and the pads are comfortable and *trivial* to replace (yay!), but if your ears aren't *completely* flat against your head, you'll get squashed. I gather v-moda has had this complaint on other sets, but I am truly stunned by how much shallower they are than any other pair I've tried. - Noise canceling is pretty much only low frequencies, and at higher levels has more white noise than any other (expensive) pair I've tried so far. It does remove low mechanical sounds pretty well though. It's roughly on par with other non-Bose/Sony pairs: somewhat effective, but definitely not as good, which is expected. These do have some unique weirdness though, e.g. when I touch or shift the headset around at all, one or both ears will get... murky? sound underwater? for about a second, and then it'll clear up. I'm not sure if this is a failed attempt at letting me hear my surroundings (it's definitely not reliable, if that's the goal), or if it's a recalibration phase of some kind. But since it's fairly quick it's mostly just weird, I don't think I'd actually be bothered by it. - Audio at normal volumes is muddy, vocals and instruments are mushed together, and only a mediocre sound-stage. Every other $300+ bluetooth headset I've tried has been significantly, *immediately obviously* better here. At mid-high volume, where these sound best, they still sound noticeably worse than my 15 year old $200 headphones. Master & Dynamic MW65 and Shure Aonic 50 were FAR better here, being roughly equal to my wired pair, or better in some areas. - Audio changes *dramatically* as volume changes. When turned up to comfortably-loud, bass boosts a lot (and stays punchy), muddiness improves, but holy cow the balance is thrown WAY off and they sound absolutely nothing like what they did at lower volumes. This is true for many headphones to some degree, but usually you have to go up to uncomfortably-loud for a "large" change. Here, there's a *dramatic* change just between two volume notches at normal volumes, it's like nothing I've ever heard before. I'm pretty surprised, tbh. For the price I expected something at least competitive with the 1000XM4 in audio terms, but it's not even close. ... show more
