I have this chicken wire spread out across a few different projects now and it's been really handy! For actual garden use, I've used bits of it for a trellis for my green beans and butterfly peas. It stands up well enough for that since those plants aren't super heavy. I zip tied the chicken wire to some garden stakes and it's been holding up well. I also used some to make a moss pole for one of my indoor plants. The wire worked really well for that too. For the more unusual uses, I wanted to make a garden sculpture for Halloween. It's still a work in progress but the wire has been really good as the base of the sculpture since it's thin enough to bend easily but firm enough to hold its shape once it's in place. I also gave a bit to a friend who used it in a frame for an art piece. I really like this chicken wire and it's definitely versatile. My only note about this set is that the gloves it comes with are fine but I found I could still get jabbed through them so I ended up using my own leather gardening gloves and those work much better. We live next to an open field and have animals wander into our yard at night and sometimes in the day looking for food. Sometimes they can be destructive, like rabbits, which eat our flowers and plants. Other times they can get into things, chew on items, knock things over and leave messes, including feces, in our yard. Coyotes, opossums, raccoons and skunks, we’re looking at you! It’s probably a losing battle. Let’s face it, the squirrels have won, even though we have humanely trapped and relocated a dozen or so. And field mice? Forgetaboutit! But we still can keep trying to keep the other non-rent paying furry critters from wreaking havoc. This galvanized chicken wire will help to bolster our defensive perimeter, our chain link fence, as some can find ways through it now. Also around the back gate there is openings that need some sealing. We may have to cut the chicken wire in half horizontally to stretch it from 26’ to 52’ of of coverage along the fence bottom. That will help a lot! Although I have wire cutters and gloves, this came equipped with those in case you don’t have that already. Chicken wire can have sharp points, especially after it is cut. Also, there is some wire, to help tie it to another surface or a fence, although I’ll probably use zip ties. That’s nice, unexpected and appreciated! This seems like a good value for what you get, considering they include the cutters, gloves and wire, oh and shipping if sold by Amazon and $25. I have not priced chicken wire at our local hardware store lately, but I seem to remember different sizing. This is 1.41’ x 26.2’. Normally, you’d get 2’ x 25’. So, it’s narrower and a tad longer. I love that this chicken wire came with tools. I am new to chicken, so I am trying all of this for the first time. I’m glad that this came with the tools I needed to put this fencing together. It’s good quality and easy to manipulate. A good amount of length and should cover a good area.

This UWIOFF chicken wire did a really efficient job at updating our coop‘s security. We upcycled an old door to our duck coop’s run, but the elements wore it down and caused the glass window to become loose. after we removed the glass pane, this roll of wire was the perfect way to reestablish security over the window’s old placement. You can see that the hexagons of this wire are smaller than traditional chicken wire we buy at the farm & feed store (in the photos you can see the fence is traditional type, while UWIOFF brand was used on the door only). These smaller hexagons make the wire fencing more secure, durable and resistant to any critters who have the ability to bend and move traditional chicken wire with its larger spaces. For instance, earlier this summer we had an issue with raccoons bending holes in the traditional chicken wire’s openings and pulling the wire aside to fit their critter hands through into the pvc feeders and feast (all from the outside of the coop). Eventually we had to lay expensive hardware cloth over it, but this type of chicken wire likely would have been an efficient solve if i had it on hand at that point. Overall, this chicken wire has many great uses at a reasonable price point. It is a great way to add additional security to livestock enclosures but would be great for basic garden uses as well, it comes with the proper tools for safe installment which is a really helpful feature. Solid made and the size was accurate. The clips were helpful to cut the pieces when I needed to size a certain area. My chicken pen needed a bad rework and update. This helped shape it up and repair it to make it better than what it was. Comes with gloves and cutters. I will need more soon so I would definitely purchase this again when I need some more. I am impressed with the quality of this chicken wire. We plan to put it at the bottom of the coop down into the ground to prevent predators from digging under the coop to get to our girls. Comes with what you need to cut it too!
