The towels are very nice and absorbent and the type I was looking for. The only thing I am a bit unhappy about is that the vibrant color received has faded away with each laundering. Other than that, they are made well and are effective for use in the kitchen.

The solid burgundy kitchen towel is thinner and less absorbent than the 'checkered' towel which is still nothing to brag about. I've bought Utopia towels, kitchen and bath, for years.
