Two of them are great... but these are a gamble on Quality Control. You might get good ones, or you might not. Two of the three in my pack work well - solid build quality, minimal background audio hiss. The third, however, does what many other reviewers state - errant pauses in music, random triggering of Google Assistant, and poor quality audio when it is playing. I can't tell the difference by looking at them, so the defect is internal. I didn't really need all 3 so I didn't bother returning the set to give them another chance. This is one of those products that either works or doesn't, looking at the reviews. It was cheap so decided to roll the dice. I was buying these to connect my phone music to my car, which only had a 3.5mm audio jack. Unfortunately I was unlucky. The adapters themselves are built well, seems sturdy. When it works, it works. Except it stops working.... Very often but randomly, the connection will disconnect and my phone would stop playing music. It would sometimes start playing again if I press start. Sometimes not. Sometimes just starts using phone speakers as if nothing is connected. Sometimes it brings up the Google voice app randomly. Happened so frequently and I never figured out why. Not sure if it was the usbc connection or the audio jack connection. Ended up buying a different adapter as a replacement and that one works perfect. So this adapter was the problem. Returned. Edit: Seller reached out to me to offer a replacement and showed a lot of care. That's great! I'm changing the rating from 1 star to 4. ... show more

I wouldn't call myself an audiophile by any means, but I do have a few decent pair of cans and I can identify very bad audio quality to good quality. Goal on my end was having a decent dongle for my Pixel 7a, when I wanted to use wired headphones. Two-pack both worked, so going on some of the reviews here on QC I guess I got a winning hand there. Decent build quality so far and hoping of course they last a while. As for sound quality I paired these with my Sony MDR-V6's , then compared these with a Dragonfly Black + high bitrate Vorbis files I use "on the go". Comparing the two, I think the Dragonfly has a bit more punch overall but it's definitely not significant if so, this dongle sounds just fine to me. I also know how I am and this dongle is a lot easier to carry around than a Dragonfly + a USB adapter for that. Now I just have to avoid losing these things, but that's a me problem! ... show more

We got these for a teenager for his phone. The first of these adaptors works great, but when it temporarily went missing, he tried the second one. It has poor connectivity and terrible sound quality. Fortunately, he found the first one that had gone missing. I'm hesitant to recommend these or buy them again, because I have no way of knowing whether we would get a good adaptor, or another bad one. Or better yet, the phone manufacturers could just start including a headhone jack again! ... show more
