I wanted to record some audio for myself, but my phone, headset, etc just couldn't cut it. I really didn't need a fancy setup, I saw this, and figured I would try it out. WOW! I read the reviews on it, but it really is consistantly fantastic. Yea, you can buy better microphones out there, but for regular people doing audio for fun, this thing is excelent. It takes exactly zero skill to set up, just connect the base, plug it in, and you're good to go. I am recording audo for self-hypnosis, and it can easily pick up on soft speech just above a whisper where I needed it. Again, for the cost, this is a fantastic piece of equipment. Also, the mute button on top is nice. I needed to clear my throat near the end of my recording, and muting it for a moment is quiet enough not to take away from the final audio. ... show more

The FIFINE gaming microphone is a great all purpose microphone for being so cheap. I've had this microphone for longer than a year, and I still don't find the need to upgrade. The mic is really easy to setup, with a simple USB plug that can go into PS4, Xbox, or PC. The USB cord itself is decently long, but don't expect the microphone can be too far away. It's decently adjustable. It has a physical volume knob which is great for if you need to suddenly change. Tap to mute is also super helpful and works really well, with the light indicating if it's active out not. The mic itself is also durable. This mic, however, doesn't do a good job at reducing background noise and echo. Unless you have alternate software or physical things to help with that, this mic will pick up everything happening in the room. If there's an echo or background talking nearby, that will also go through the mic. Overall, if you need a good gaming microphone, I would recommend buying this product. ... show more

Edit: It has been a few years since I have used the product and it has remained very reliable! Apparently, the first product I received was somewhat faulty but I got a free replacement from the company. There were no background noise unless it was too obvious (like hammering nails), and its still working like a charm! I'll leave the original comment below, but just know that if I accidentally break my mic again due to my own fault or if I were to recommend a mic, this would be the top of my choice. Original comment: Bought it last year October, and it has reached a point at which the fuzzy background noise is unfixable. It worked pretty well during its use, with solid sound quality and limited externalities in background noise, but after about 8 months it starts to have a growing fuzziness that blurs your voice and by about a few weeks ago it has reached a point where I can just barely make out any words. I guess I shouldn’t expect too much from a $30 mic, but it should’ve at least held on for more than 2 years. ... show more

This mic is great for it's price. The audio clarity is nice and it's stand that it comes with is pretty sturdy. It is pretty durable, I've only dropped it twice, but it has held up nicely all this time. I've had it for a little over a year now and it's been working perfectly. Only one slight problem with this model in particular it has pretty low gain. You have to had the mic within a foot of your mouth for you to be heard loud and clear. ... show more
