  • Great KM switch
Size: for 4 PC
Works great for my needs. I didn't need video switching, just keyboard and mouse. With 3 pc's and 6 monitors I just wanted one keyboard and mouse set up to control them. This worked great. Quick and easy to switch between pc's

  • Works Great
Size: USB Switch
I'm sharing a mouse, keyboard, printer, and flatbed scanner between two PCs. One of the PCs only has USB 2.0, but the other is USB 3.0. I've used the switch daily for 6 weeks and it's working great, no issues at all. It was easy to hook up; plug and play. I like that it came with two 3.0 USB cables to make the connections to the PCs. There's a light that indicates which output it's set to, which is a great feature. Recommended. ... show more

  • An easy way to share keyboard, mouse and graphics tablet
Size: USB Switch
I hooked this small USB KVM Switcher up to two PCs (one still running Windows 7, and a new one with Windows 11), using the nice long USB cables that came with it. It immediately auto-installed on each of the computers, and was ready to go.... Perfect plug & play! So it's now a breeze to share one graphics tablet, one keyboard, and a wireless mouse between the two PCs, instead of having to use duplicates of those peripherals like before. There are some things to keep in mind however: - The Switcher's red led lights (marked "1" and "2" - one for each computer) are very hard to see. - There is an access delay each time the silver button is clicked, when changing from one PC to the next. The latency for the Windows 7 PC is three to four seconds, and for the Windows 11 PC it's just one. This could get tiresome if you have to "move back and forth" between your two computers a lot - but may well be common with KVM Switchers in general. - It is real easy to accidently push the silver button. Like when inserting or removing a USB flash drive (memory stick). But this should happen a lot less once you are aware of it. - If you want to use the Switcher with a high-power USB periperal device (external HDD, scanners, printers, etc.) instead of with just a keyboard, mouse, flash drive, etc., you'll likely need to provide it with external power. It has a Micro USB(5V, 2A) power supply port, and comes with a micro USB cable for that. I plugged the cable into a charging cube, which in turn was plugged into a surge protector. This worked great for the scanner and the external HDD I plugged into the Switcher. - Speaking of using the Switcher with a USB flash drive, or with some other kind of external data storage device: it is best to right-click it on your PC's "drives" menu and then choose "Safely Remove" each(!) time you switch from PC one to PC two. And then re-insert in. Otherwise the external storage device in question might become corrupted! This actually happened after I plugged a (portable) 4TB HDD, full of backup files, into the Switcher, and then went from one of the computers to another. Well, the hard drive is still accessible, and all the files on it appear to be fine, but when I now plug it in (into either computer, or directly into the Switcher), I get a warning: "Do you want to scan and fix" and "There might be a problem with some files on this device or disc." Lesson learned. All things considered, for me the pros outweigh the cons, and I will keep using it instead of going back to my old set up. ... show more

  • No more diving under my desk!
Size: USB Switch
Several years ago I got a WD MyCloud 2TB external drive which supported NAS. It had software which let you expose it to the Internet - with controlled access of course. Then they discontinued that capability, which I never used, but now it couldn't be used as a NAS. I removed the drive (another story) and made it a plain exterally accessible via USB drive. Purpose was to let me do periodic backups from desktop and two notebooks. Due to space limitations etc. it involved getting under the desk to change the cabling. No more - this makes it trivial to just flip a switch away from the desktop (which is normally continuously attached) and do a quick backup of 'new' stuff off the notebook. At my age hands and knee stuff under the desk is to be avoided. Because of this that backup happens rather than is put off for 'some other time'. ... show more

  • Great little USB switch!
Size: USB Switch
So I'm using this primarily to switch between a windows desktop and laptop to use a printer, mouse and keyboard. I needed something to make it much easier to print and use my laptop comfortably at home, and this is perfect for that! The switch is pretty small, and sits hidden away next to the printer. You do need to manually make the switch by using a button, but the cables that I'm using are long enough for the job. The only issue I have is that there are only USB A ports, as it would be nice to have a USB C port or HDMI port in there. That said, I had the right peripherals in a box that I thought I'd never use, so that worked out. The plug and play switch also makes it very easy to transfer data from one device to another, which actually made things very handy to download on one and move to another. Transfer speeds were great! Works great for all situations, very happy with my new switch! ... show more

  • Bad set of cables.
Size: for 4 PC
The switch works fine, although the remote control is useless, since it's IR based and has to be pointed to the receiver almost face blank (IR receiver is buried a few mm inside the cover). Switching is slower than in my old 2 computers-1 USB port for KB/Mouse, but I can live with that. What is really disappointing is a set of cables. It is four 5-feet thick and heavy cables. Each of these cables is heavier than the switch, they're almost unbendable, they create a real mess on the desk. And while the primary reason to have these USB-3 cables is the switch (USB-3) the majority of the switched devices don't need that: KB, mouse, scanner, ... . Much better would be to have two 2-feet and two 4-5 feet of thin and flexible cables (like for iPhone). ... show more
