  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Love it, but seeing a weird issue...
Style: 2 monitor KVM Switch
This little gem worked perfectly the first week I used it, but this week I'm seeing some odd behavior. Occasionally when I switch from PC 1 to PC2 (or visa-versa) it will show the first screen from PC1 and the second screen from PC2. When I switch again, it then it shows the first screen from PC2 and the second screen from PC1. I have to disconnect the USB cables (and sometimes the HDMI cables) from both PCs in order to reset the KVM unit and then it shows the two screens correctly again. This has happened several times now, and it is very annoying. At first I thought it might be due to using a non-active DVI-to-HDMI cable (which seemed to work just fine the first week), so I switched it out to an active DVI-to-HDMI cable, but still saw the same incorrect behavior. Then I tried connecting the 5V USB-C power port (even though I'm NOT running 4K@60Hz resolution - just 2560x1440 @ 60Hz), but then the KVM unit wouldn't switch between PC1 & PC2 at all. Weird! I'm not using the remote switch as I have the box located just under one of my two Samsung LS27H850QFNXGO monitors and can reach the button on the box just fine. Other than this aberrant behavior, I really like this KVM switch. I love how compact it is (it was smaller than I expected), and I like having the 4 USB 3.0 ports on the front. The wireless Logitech USB dongle is working just fine with only a slight delay when switching from PC1 to PC2. It would be nice to have the DC/5V USB-C power port on the back so you could "plug it in" without having a wire coming out from the front of the unit, but so far the 2 PC USB connections (which are on the back) seem to be powering it sufficiently well. It seems to be working properly so far today, so I'll see how it goes and update my review accordingly. UPDATE 2/7/2023: I have continued to see the crossed/un-synched display issue on about a daily basis, but the seller has reached out to me and has offered a replacement KVM unit. I'll add another update after seeing if the new unit resolves the issue. ... show more

  • 2.0 out of 5 stars Not great..
Style: 2 monitor KVM Switch
I have dual monitor setup and was planning to use this to switch between work computer. Had this like a week. Doesn't quite work even in 1080p. Even with powerful & brand new 8K HDMI cables. When I start watching a movie, screens start to flicker, turning on and off. It will stabilize after a while but your screens might still go off randomly. This happens all the time. Its very annoying. There's some blue dots at the top of your screen, your screen might go yellow, often if you turn off your computer and turn it on again, screens won't come back at all. You need to start replugging everything which defeats the whole purpose of this product. Only good thing I have to say is that there was no issues with USB:s even with wireless devices & hubs. But since monitors are not working, it doesn't really matter. EDID doesn't work either. It worked on my laptop a few times, but its also unstable. Your windows will all get messed up when you switch. Both of my systems are running Windows 10 which is a very common OS. Initially had some problems detecting monitors altogether, there was really no troubleshooting in the manual, had to find troubleshooting steps from amazon orders -> product support. You have to plug in the power first, everything else after. Then it started showing a little bit of life. Overall, very disappointed. Its fun for the little time that it works, but so unstable its not usable. Had to order another KVM from other brand. Would 100% return this but eh I don't know if I want to go through the hassle... ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Worked well with my two Dell docking stations.
Style: 2 monitor KVM Switch
We are using this to switch a number of peripherals between two laptop docking stations. So there are two laptops and with a press of the button all the following switch over to the other laptop - keyboard, both monitors, mouse, and speaker.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Works great when it works!
Style: 1 monitor KVM Switch
This thing works perfect, when it works, and it works MOST of the time. Sometimes it becomes unresponsive. Either it wont switch between computers, or worse, they keyboard and mouse wont work at all. To resolve this, I simply have to unplug both USB plugs and plug them back in. Sometimes it does this once a day, but lately it's been a few weeks since I've had to do it. Pretty random. Pros: works. I like the ctl+ctl+1/2 to switch computers. Works in linux and windows. Cons: You have to unplug it once in awhile to reset it, so it has to stay accessible on your desk. When switching between computers it acts as if you have unplugged the HDMI cable, so my laptop with 2 more screens connected to it always has to reset it's displays. This could be useful in some situations, but I wish it emulated the connected monitor on the computer not in use. ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Only works as a usb switch

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Good when works
Style: 2 monitor KVM Switch
When the product works it's really good. Sometimes it loses another monitor and to get it back means doing some black magic. It just starts working at some point, possibly. Support Simulation EDID does not work, at least with Windows 10 and Debian based Linux as far as I have tested. Changing the input breaks all setup made prior. The speed of changing from one input to another is good, but this feels a bit buggy if you have to change monitors regularly throughout the day. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars It works!!
Style: 2 monitor KVM Switch
I think that the setup of the product was easy. I got a work laptop that is able to be used. At first I put the laptop in pc1 and my home pc in pc2. Which only got 1 monitor working. I did use converters for cables and works just fine. I switched the pc1 and 2 around on the kvm. It works as it should. I tried looking at instructions for anything that says why it should be like that or maybe I missed it. But I would say that I would recommend. Switching takes just a couple seconds to switch over. No issues and I love the product so far. ... show more
