This product works as advertised. I was skeptical about the size of the case since I use a Nikkor 18-200mm lens which is slightly longer than the stock 18-50mm lens. The camera fits right in the case and is flexible enough so that the velcro would reach it's contact and close snugly. The only thing is, with a lens this large, the pocket on the case flap can't be used for any reasonable storage. You may be able to fit in a couple of SD cards but that's about it. You can't carry the extra battery in that pocket unless ofcourse you still you the stock lens which is smaller in size in which case you may be able to fit an extra battery inside the case with the camera itself. The material is got and would provide protection from minor dings/bumps, but it won't be able to provide protection from larger damages. I am not sure how much weather proof it is, but it may be able to avoid some minor splashes. I travel internationally quite a bit and now I can throw in the camera inside my backpack with this case on with my laptop without worrying too much. Also, keep in mind that it only comes with an attached carbiner hook and no other strap or belt of any kind, so the idea is to use the camera's strap as the opening on both sides of the case allows the strap to be exposed and used as intented. Overall, if you are looking to avoid hauling a bulky camera bag everywhere then this is the perfect choice to go for. I was looking for a simple solution to protect my Canon RP with my 24-105 lens attached (with lens hood reversed). I have a larger case for my equipment that also holds my 100-400 lens and everything just barely fits in my Osprey backpack. I didn’t want to struggle with this arrangement on an upcoming trip when I don’t plan to take my 100-400 lens. I measured my camera and looked at the dimensions of the case before my purchase and everything was as advertised. The camera and lens (w/ hood) fit perfectly. The exterior of the case has textured padding, which I believe adds to the grip of the case w/ camera. The small pocket on the flap will hold spare SD cards, but I’m fairly certain it will not hold a spare battery (which is just fine with me). I can easily slip the camera and my new protective case in and out of my backpack now and I am very pleased with it. ... show more

I got it for vacation to protect my Canon EOS r8. It fit perfectly with a little extra space in the spot for the lens. I’m sure it could accommodate up to a 85mm lens, maybe more. It was great for protecting my camera while in my bag, and while I was carrying it around with my crossbody strap. It has good holes in the sides for a camera straps to easy go through. There’s also a nice zipper on the back that I could fit 1 SD card and 1 small battery in. You could probably fit 3 sd cards in there without a battery. This case won't take the place of a good camera case, but will protect your camera from the occasional bump or scratch when carrying it on a strap or setting it down between shots. Fits my Nikon D5300 with 55-200 lens perfectly with enough room for a slightly larger lens.

I bought this case because it was one of the few that would fit the camera and lense, matched my carrying strap. The case however barely fits the camera. I can't get the velcro at the bottom to fully overlap. When I close it the view finder gets squished by the case and that's troubling since the zipper starts at that spot. Overall It's a cute case and kind of fits the camera. It has a good amount of padding too. The quality matched the price value. But the design needs some reworking, and it can be difficult to get your camera in and out of it. I do not recommend this for those of us with mobility issues. ... show more
