I ordered these UREC Magnetic Tiles, Safe and Sturdy Magnet Tiles Magnetic Building Block Toys for Kids Ages 4-8, STEM Stacking Toys for Toddlers 3+, Preschool Sensory Learning Toys - Boys Girls Birthday Gifts because my 11-year-old son received his first set of MAGNA-TILES only a couple of weeks ago and he asked me for more. This set comes with 46 magnetic pieces: 20 squares (5 each in dark blue, yellow, orange, and green), 2 squares with an arch opening (yellow), 2 squares with 4 smaller squares inside (orange), 4 E-like shapes with an extra leg ( 2 dark blue, 2 yellow; 2 pieces together are the size of 1 square), 4 rectangles (2 purple, 2 yellow; 2 pieces together are the size of 1 square), 2 long triangles (orange), 4 small triangles with a longer base (2 green, 2 purple), 8 equilateral triangles (2 each of pink, orange, dark blue, yellow). I have uploaded pictures of all pieces included. These magnetic tiles are the same size as the Magna-tiles and they connect. I have added 2 photos that show a tile from this set connecting to a Magna-tile. The Magna-tiles are the ones on the bottom where you can see the little metal rings. When playing with both sets, we noticed that the Urec tiles were harder to keep together because at times, the magnets seemed to repel each other. There is an insert included that shows a couple of finished models. Most require more tiles than are included in this set, so you definitely need 2 to 3 sets. We were able to build a couple of the models, but it wasn’t easy as there are no step-by-step instructions included. In summary, we are happy to add these tiles to our growing collection. They feel sturdy and have a couple of forms that can be used as windows or doors when building structures, which are not included in other sets. The builds with these tiles can be challenging sometimes as the tiles are sometimes difficult to align because they push each other away. ... show more
