  • How bright is that light…really
A great tool to check light intensity; switch between measuring lux or foot candles, measures various light sources. Has a min max feature, but you’ll need to manually record the readouts (no memory store function). Helps to make sure the light is right for intended purposes.

  • easy to use
Ever wonder just how much light your solar watch collection is getting while you are not wearing them? I did, and bought this meter. It was wonderful to find an out of the way place in my home that still got enough light to keep my solar watches charged up.

  • Integral for Indoor Gardens with Artificial Lights
Works wonderfully for the money and is versatile in its many uses. It’s display is easily readable and performs quickly giving accurate results and my plants have never been happier as I can readily adjust my lights to the perfect height.

  • This light meter helped me to read again.
I was having trouble reading books, so I went to my optometrist to get new reading glasses. He said that my reading glasses were fine and recommended getting a light meter to check the light where I normally read. He was correct. All my reading lights were too dim. I am seventy-five years old. I never considered that I needed more light for reading. Now I have replaced all the bulbs in the places where I read with brighter ones, and I can read again! (He also said that I needed to hold the book in the focal range of my glasses, 12" to 16" from my face.) ... show more

  • Thermometer does not work
Its ability to measure light is good enough for my purposes but the temperature readings are way off. It does not matter how long I let it sit there, it's always inaccurate. Do not buy this if you need the thermometer part of it to work.

  • it's easy to use
it's easy to use. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it gives me a general idea of illuminance. I can tell if brightness is evenly distributed
