Sturdy handle, doesn't leak, easy to fill and makes it easier for me to lug a lot of water to where I need it for my seedlings. I grow lettuce, spinach and bok choy indoors, so it's nice to be able to bring the water to them instead of the other way around.

This is a very well made and designed container. It is easy to refill with the wide mouth opening and includes good quality spout and valve. The lid to the refill opening has a pressure relief hole with a rubber stopper for faster pouring. I had only one issue that cost a star in the rating: the rubber plug for the pouring spout will not stay in place. (This was not enough worry for me to return for a replacement) . ... show more

I love it for camping. Seems to be very sturdy. I’d love to dispensing spout, which does not leak. I have a bad back, and this gets heavy if you fill it up all the way. I would consider getting smaller ones. It did not add any flavor to my water.

This product only lasted about 4 months give or take. I use it regularly when traveling due to not having access too Louisville KY water on all my travels. As you can see, the main cap is cracked and the other actually leaks. I am currently on the road and have no other option so I am dealing with it. But I am not pleased as it has never undergone and drop, or damage so this is baffling. Update: it has been a few months since I left this review, and still nothing from the company. I’ve sent emails to the company, the manufacturer, and even Amazon. Nothing, not one single response at all. Going to take this thing out for target practice and I’ll post a video. ... show more

    • Does not leak but not a Spectre either

I have 5gal Spectre water carriers that I have used for over 20 years because they don't leak when full going down rough trails and are thick and will last a lifetime. Unfortunately they are too tall for my newer rig so I bought these. Easily fits behind the front seat. First test was if they are leak proof. As others noticed, you must tighten fully, but 24 hours after being upside down, not a drop! Spigot works is probably the best I've ever seen and does not leak. Now these are half the thickness of a Spectre, but not terribly thin either and with some care should last. Definitely not for throwing in the back of the truck to roll around. One thing, 18L is not really 5 gal but 4.75gal. Also lightly sand the holes flat to remove molding flash and they tighten easier to prevent leaks, something I did with the Spectre too. ... show more
