We recently got a new ping pong table and of course, we needed the paddles and balls to go with it. After looking at a wide variety of paddles at a range of prices, we decided on this Upstreet set -- 4 paddles and 8 white 3-star balls in a nice box (could make a good gift). For $25, this a a great buy. The paddles are high end. Each side is covered with smooth (but "sticky") rubber, with rubber edging as well. We've been using these nearly every day for a few months, and the rubber has remained entirely glued down. The handles and other wood elements are good quality, well put together. The rubber gives you a true and responsive bounce, with the ability to spin and control the ball. We haven't used them before but we decided to get a box of yellow "practice balls" as well. Turn out, they are a little slower and less bouncy than the white balls. We guess this helps you work on your moves at a slower speed -- until you switch to a fast white ball for games. You get 50 balls for under 10-bucks. 50-Pack KEVENZ 3-Star 40mm Orang Table Tennis Balls,Advanced Training Ping Pong Balls (Practice ping-pong Ball) . We're still using the original 8 white balls that came with the paddles, but plan to order a box of 50 as well: 50-Pack KEVENZ 3-Star 40mm White Table Tennis Balls,Advanced tournament Ping Pong Balls (Tournament ping-pong Ball) . Here's the table we got. For about $300, it's a good deal. It does take an hour or more for a couple of people to put it together -- and when it's time to flip it up on its legs, you could really use 3 people so you don't bend or damage the legs, although we got by with two.     • The paddles work well but one of the handles came off after a short period.

Overall, paddles seem good quality. But one of the handles came off after a a few times of use I glued it back on with wood glue. Time will tell Ping pong balls seem good quality.

One of the 4 paddles fell apart the 2nd day it was used. I did manage to glue the paddle back together. Waiting to see how long the other 3 paddles last. The included ping pong balls are nice. We just bought a $79.00 ping pong table as a Black Friday special. We recently moved and are setting up a game room in our basement. We are enthusiasts- by no means pros.... but wanted a set of 4 padels for playing with friends and family. The set we bought is MUCH BETTER than what came with the $79 table.... I like the amount of "sponginess" and "stickiness".... it has a nice feel/bounce when hitting the ball. I like the sound, too. My son (age 12) says that the racquet is a bit heavy for him..... think he is just used to feel of "fly swatters" that came with cheap table...... fyi: my kids wake up early for school to play ping-pong before their 7am bus!!!! (Ages 9 & 12)..... well worth the investment and keeps them OFF SCREENS! VERY happy with this purchase! ... show more

First off, the value is amazing! The paddles seem to be well made--they are sticky, well-padded and formed nicely. I think the only difference between this and a paddle that costs twice as much as the set is the weight. These aren't heavy, they just aren't light like a carbon handle, and I wouldn't expect them to be. Durability is the only slight concern. After a week of use, the rubber has lost some of its tackiness and is starting to peel a little on a few corners, but this is probably from misuse. The balls are good for beginners, but I've found they will split coming off the paddle on a really hard return or spike. Overall, I'm satisfied and recommend them. I think the Upstreet paddles are the best value set of paddles on Amazon. ... show more

the paddles looks and feel good, may be a little on the heavy side (for adult male it is fine, but not so friendly for kids) The balls are just average and lack of QC. I found one of them has weird eclipse shape. And we crack one at the first night of play. So we only have 6 to spare.
