I got this for a 1436 jonboat. The picture makes it look like it will be a taught tailored fit, it is not. It does cover the whole boat and with the supplied stands it is keeping the elements out. The fabric is good quality as is the stitching. I haven't seen any water leaking through so for the money this seems to fit the bill. It comes with a variety of straps, and while the directions were lacking and it wasn't clear how to use them, I ended up with a working boat cover to protect my carpets over the winter. ... show more

Material is not durable at all. 4 tears within a week. 5 buckles broke on install. 2 loop buckles broke just threading the strap through. Stay away from this junk.

This cover fit perfectly on our flat bottom boat. It was easy to drape over the boat and easy to secure. We didn't need the elevated support system because our boat has seat installed, we saved them for future use. The support system was horrible … I wound up inventing my own support system. So with out a motor cover and supplying my own support system. There’s was insufficient and over priced

    • Ok. Boat Cover, but I Don't Have a Perm Trailer

I don't think most jon boats are on a perm trailer. Mine isn't and therefore this cover doesn't fit very well. I also have a trolling motor on mine and that makes this cover a challenging fit as well. I still use this, but it looks like an 8 yr old putting on his dad's suit. Doesn't keep the water off very well since there is plenty of extra space that creates puddles on top of the boat for rain to build up and collect. Other than that, the material is impressive, very thick and strong. Straps are heavy duty and durable as well. The strap will fray eventually and break. That strap material always does, but these straps are designed to last quite a while. Overall, it's ok if you have the exactly correct implementation for this cover. I remember car covers from years past that were basically thin cotton cloth that were a herald of woe in so many ways. The new upgraded cover has an outer layer that looks and feels like nylon or a windbreaker. The inner side of the fabric is rubber in look and feel. It feels like it weighs about 10 pounds. The fabric choice means it is more likely to grip your boat and thereby be less likely to be susceptible to wind picking it up and moving it about. It's elastic along the bottom. The second benefit is obviously, rubber is a great seal against moisture. It will also keep moisture in. So, letting it sit long term this way could promote a musty return. I suppose rubber could offer protection against some minor hail. It also provides protection against a leaky roof if you have one. ... show more
