  • Great bag
Size: 155L Color: Adventure Orange
I was on the fence buying this because my dry bags are always getting torn and pinched when flying with them and I wanted one that would hold up. I work in remote Alaska villages and travel constantly. My bags are subjected to travel on jets, small planes, helicopters, boats, 4wheelers, snowmobiles, sleds, etc... Rain, shine, snow, wind, temperatures below zero down to -55. Been using the 155L bag for 1 year now and have been very impressed. It stays dry inside even sitting out in the rain for a couple days. I don't think I would submerge it, but I haven't tried either. The zipper is nice and not super hard to close like most dry bags. The backpack straps are handy when you need to carry it further, but not made for use as a backpack on a regular basis. I mean...it's 155L bag, kinda big for a backpack anyway. Overall very impressed with this bag and will be buying another if this one ever breaks. ... show more

  • Exceeded expectations
Size: 110L Color: Adventure Orange
I recieved this bag awhile ago, and decided to keep my survival items in it. The first thing I noticed is how durable and well built this thing is. There's a lot of room for items if you decide to car camp as well as any luxury items too. Haven't tested the waterproofness yet, but seems like would take being out in the rain quite well. If you just have a small amount of gear you can make many folds to ensure no moisture gets in. In closing i believe this is a great bag and would consider getting another one or referring to a friend. ... show more

  • Good bag but needs some work with sealing / locking down
Size: 110L Color: Adventure Orange
Am using on a boat to store dingy stuff. Keeps the stuff clean and dry, but the rolling process is not the most simple. Use several dry bags so understand the process / need, but after rolling, the two clip tabs that hold the roll in place are often buried in the fold and have to go digging for them. ... show more

  • Great Dry Duffel 110L model
Size: 110L Color: Adventure Orange
Used this on a 7 day canoe trip. Survived with zero issues. Holds enough stuff for 2 people plus food for 7 days. It easily fit inside my 35” wide canoe. The side Molly system made it perfect for tie downs to the yoke. The backpack feature was great for portages. My only criticism of this pack would be to include a waist strap system in the 110L. It gets pretty heavy on the shoulders when full. This stayed waterproof in the canoe and outside the tent in the rain. Everything stayed dry which was its main purpose and function. Very pleased. Would buy again but don’t think I will have to for many years of abuse. ... show more

  • Seems to be pretty durable and waterproof
Size: 155L Color: Adventure Orange
I’ve only had this a few days so far it’s pretty durable. I’m a train conductor. It’s survived a fall off a 7 foot platform to the ground. No holes no apparent scratches. So far so good we’ll see.

  • Bag for the traveler-savant
Size: 110L Color: Adventure Orange
My wife was a little less than happy with me when I bought three of these 65L bags for our trip to Peru (wife, son, me). She would have rather I paid about $100 less for each bag. Fast-forward a couple weeks when we're standing on an uncovered train platform in Aguas Calientes in the middle of a torrential rain storm (that soaked through my rain jacket) for 10 mins while we waited to board the train... my wife looked at me like I was traveler-genius bordering on traveler-savant. Even though we were all completely soaked to our bones... everything in these bags stayed dry. The good... These bags are completely overbuilt for travel. They are tough! ... and yet don't really weigh much. Loading them up with ~40lbs of gear was no big deal. The bags easily held their form, even when thrown around by porters. I have a feeling these bags will last well past a decade of hard adventure travel. Also great is the bright orange color when you're picking your bags out at baggage claim. I also like the backpack straps. Changing trains in South America means grabbing my ~45lb bag, my son's ~35lb bag, and other misc. Throwing my bag on my back worked very well. I would not want to use it as a backpack for more than an hour or so, but when you need it... it's not a problem. It's awesome at keeping the elements out. I would think twice about totally submerging it in water, but it performed excellently in one of the worst tropical rainstorms I've ever been in. By duffel bag standards, 65L isn't huge... but it was more than enough to pack all my gear for a 10 day trip to Peru, including hiking boots, poles and a couple deflated soccer balls for the small Quechuan villages we trekked through. The bad... The bags take a little while to get closed and ready to move. You don't just zip it up and go... you push out the air, zip it, roll it, push out more air, and then proceed to fasten and cinch a minimum of 4 straps to tighten everything down. And in my case... you end up doing that at least twice because you forgot to pack something in the bag, or your wife ran outta room in her bag. If I'm honest, it's kind of a pain. Also a little annoying is that you cannot remove the backpack straps very easily. Half of the baggage handlers grab the velcro'd down backpack straps instead of the carrying straps which means everything is out of place and snags on everything. Less annoying, I would have liked at least 2 real zippered chambers on the outside of the bag for storing things I might need more often (toiletries, etc...). There is a pocket on the side of the bag, but you can't get much in it of the bag is already full. Conclusion... If you're looking for the ultimate adventure travel bag that's fit for traveling through the Amazon, or tied to the top of a Jeep, AND you have the extra bucks for the price of admission, this is your bag. Anything short of that, you might want to consider something cheaper. ... show more
