I ordered the extended adjustable dyson hair wand and it advised to purchase the 1.6" but in my opinion this is not worth the money at all. It's too thick and does not collect hair nearly as well as the regular curlers that come with the unit. Now I will order the standard ones in a longer thinner size and basically just wasted my money on this in my opinion. I felt that not having to switch the curlers would make a world of difference but it's not worth the money and they hyped this up much more than it deserved to be. I tried the first version of this adapter n it didn’t work. Flimsy n barrels fell right off. Got this upgraded one with locking switch & it held up good 👍🏻 so glad I got it. 😄 Just don’t let it over heat ! Let your hairdryer rest in between n cool off a little.

I have a Dyson air wrap and since Dyson is out of the barrel I needed I purchased this one through Amazon. The notches don’t quite line up and therefore this product doesn’t properly lock into the airwrap. You have to apply pressure to push it in and even at that it doesn’t click and lock in. It gets stuck and is difficult to get off. The air quality that comes out is not nearly as good as the Dyson brand barrels. I don’t recommend these if you have a $600 Dyson as it diminishes the quality of the air to style your hair. ... show more

I bought it for my recently purchased Dyson nural. It doesn’t fit due to the sensor so I removed the center piece. It doesn’t get enough wind speed to wind the hair. I’m going to give it to my coworker who has the Dyson supersonic. I’ll update to see if it works for her.

    • Why did I waste my money on the air wrap??

TL;DR If you already own the dyson dryer, I highly recommend this product for the price. Don't waste your money on another dyson. The motor is the most expensive part and the dryer already has it! I was pleasantly surprised with the look and feel of the product. It looked 90% genuine dyson. Full review: I purchased the dyson air wrap on a whim because I can't get my hair to hold a curl. I have used it a number of times since purchasing it, but every time I use it, I feel like I wasted $400 dollars. This product did exactly what I bought the air wrap to do - curl my hair, add volume, and make it shiny! I noticed zero difference in the quality of the curl between the air wrap and this adapter. The ONLY differences I noticed were (1) that the magnet was not quite strong enough for me to use the adapter without worrying. (2) changing the direction of the air flow required a towel and two hands so I didn't burn myself. I did have to be more careful with the force I was using to pull the hair due to magnetic attachment. ***At one point, the attachment did fall off and burn me. It could have been avoided if I was more careful. I also would rather save $300 to $400 dollars than have a knob that worked perfectly to change flow. The curls are the same quality with both, but neither hold the curl for more than an hour. However, the wave and shine is still there a day later. Get this, not the air wrap! ... show more
