  • Sturdy, well packed, overal awesome!
Im beyond excited over this practice hand. I find it so hard to get people for application practice during the times i can practice and this solves that issue. This came very well packaged it can easily be wraped as a present if needed. The hand feels sturdy but flexible enough to manipulate without straining. I readbreviews of nails poping off so it was one of the first things I checked and yes it looks like they do hold on. (Video for refrence) one nail did pop off but i was forcing it pretty hard. Overal I'm please about this purchase. I can't wait to practice. Update* i've been using this hand all week its amazing. I love how flexible the fingers are and how realistically you can hold the hand. And the nails can be changed and start a new set whenever. Fyi the nails are sturdy. Obviously as with actual human nails hold the base of the nailbed as you file. You can hurt someone if you just strait file without suporting. In this case the nail is sturdy but if you are rough with it they will pop off. ... show more

  • The hand is great!
Pattern Name: A-Practice Hand Set
The media could not be loaded. I’m still a beginner but really love the hand! I love it more than my silicone hand, because on the silicone hand I can’t poop the nails off no matter the method but on this hand it’s super easy. The nail clipper is flimsy, it broke & the nail tops don’t adhere that well but that’s any hand i I feel, I see many people have that issue. Overall it’s a great product. I recommend it to others. ... show more

  • Great for practicing a lot of nail services - except one...
This worked great (for me) in regards to practicing acrylic overlays, acrylic with glue on tips, hard gels, hybrid gels, gel polish, and even shaping and filing. Cutting down the nail is a bit harder than with a real hand, but I just used my acrylic clipper and it worked fine. The articulation of the hand worked wonderfully too, it was so nice to practice using two hands (I've been doing most of the nail services on myself, I haven't entered any training or apprentices yet)! The only thing its not great for - and I'm sure I could find a work around, is using traditional nail forms (not dual forms) because the very thick nail sits on top of the finger instead of inset like a real finger. Basically, the fake nail is so thick that you can't do more than create just a tip rather than what is traditionally done; an overlay with a tip. In the picture the nail hasn't been shaped or filed, and when I realized how poorly it was working because of how the hand was designed, I kind of gave up - which is why it looks so unfinished. I'm going to try some other methods to get this to work - but the truth is that those methods wont be used with real clients so it's a bit of moot point. In regards to the nails or fingers popping off, I didn't experience any of that. I don't know if it's the improved design or simply because I generally have a gentle hand when it comes to filing and stuff. None of the included nails fell off without some pressure or when my kids started waving it around and hitting furniture with it. Also, before gluing on fake tips to the fake nails, I roughed up the surface with a file and used just a bit of glue - too much glue and it slipped around and had a hard time drying. ... show more

  • UPDATE!!!
I am using my nail trainer for the first timemtoday and everything was going good as far as the durability and how solid it is, but....after i filled the nail down, got the tips on, filing the tips...the middle finger nail will not stay in. I tried replacing it with both sizes of nails that it comes with and none of them will stay clicked in. This is super upsetting because i have used it all about 10-15 mins and I already have issues!😒😒 So, I got to messing with my nail trainer and figured out that if the finger tips are not pushed all the way up to the joint, they will not stay clicked in so make sure before you start and while you using it to make sure to push the finger tips up if your nail does not stay on. After I figured this out I have no issues with nails staying in place!!😁😁 ... show more

  • Great product for the price
The hand and the nails are excellent to practice with but I was having a bit of trouble keeping my arm upright. I’m not sure if I received a defective product or if this is just something that happens with this kind of practice hand. I used hot glue to stick the adjustable arm to the clamp and it’s been doing okay. The nails themselves do not come off unless you take them off and I love that it comes with 100 extra nails. They are different sizes but are mixed up in the bag so finding the right one for each finger is a bit tedious. This is great buy for nail techs that want to practice or people that just want to work on doing their own nails. I would highly recommend! ... show more

  • Tips pop off sometimes but what can you expect lol
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this hand, this is my first ever practice hand and I think I'm gonna have to buy another to do really cute sets to show off my skills! Of course with any fake hand that has pop in and out nail beds they're gonna fall out from you filing and shaping the nail but really it's no problem if you hold the base of the nail while you shape and file (If it's long enough of course) oh yeah like 1 or 2 of the fingers don't full bend at the joint which I don't think really makes much difference if you know how to do nails but would I recommend this? Yes is it worth it? Yeah I think so :D (Also the painting in the background is mine if you were wondering why I didn't have a cute background to use so I grabbed one of my paintings lol) ... show more
