  • Airflow is great, facial interface leaves a lot to desire
Look, I wanted to like this because the fans are effective. cooled my face and most importantly stopped the fogging of the lens, I guess this is why most of us wants to purchase, the fan is effective, but a little loud, I end up buying another model and the fan is much more silent. I like that this one has 2 fans on top of each lens and a vent in the bottom to get a very effective airflow. I'm not sure about the longevity of the battery as I really tested the fan for half an hour, what made me return this was the facial interface, the letter foam pad was not very soft and was very uncomfortable, specially that I was using a very good one from AMVR, that the vents were not enough to ventilate and I needed to get a active ventilation like this unit, unfortunately the comfort was pretty bad in comparison, the fabric pad was much better, but the lack of space for the nose was really unforgivable, if you have tiny nose might work for you, mine which is not a big nose at all was rubbing the edges of the plastic interface causing a lot of discomfort. It also does not have a way to space the facial interface to wear glasses, which is not my case but if you need it or wants to adjust the distance for comfort issues, there is no way it is a fixed distance. ... show more

  • Easy to install and use, helps keep you cool.
This was pretty easy to install and figure out how to use. I like that the fan unit attaches to the face mask using magnets as it makes it very easy to remove for charging when needed. The fans themselves take a little getting used to as they blow pretty close to your eyes, but after a little while you don't notice them as much, but you will notice the reduction of facial heat experienced while using your VR with this on. ... show more

  • Stay Dry
This aims to solve a common VR problem, fogging lenses and a sweaty face. This does improved comfort during extended VR sessions. The powerful magnets that attach the fans to the unit are very strong with a satisfying "CLICK" sound. This will keep your face cool. I would recommend.

  • Bad light bleed and tunnel view
I really wanted to like this. I really need some air in there because I tend to sweat and the lenses fog lightly when I use the Quest. Unfortunately, this has serval issues for me. First, I get a lot of light bleed in the middle at the top and little pinhole light bleed on either side where it fits around the side arms. My head strap is a battery type that has the forehead rest. So the top of the head strap attaches to that forehead piece. I mention this because if your using a head strap that has the velcro piece that attaches there on the headset, you probably won't have as much light bleed. The face piece that comes with the Quest goes on further there. So even without the strap there it doesn't have any light bleed at all. On this they have too big of cutout there. I probably could've rigged something to fix the light bleed issue. But then there is the terrible tunnel vision which is not fixable. I was hoping this was adjustable like the one the Quest comes with which I keep on the closest or shortest setting. But this one is a solid non adjustable piece. And this one is like the highest setting on the original. It causes there to be large black tunnel vision areas all around the eyes. I can't stand that because it greatly hampers the VR immersion. I feel like three stars is a bit generous. But others might not find these issues to be as much of a problem. And it does work as it's supposed to. I found I could only use the lowest setting because the higher setting were too drying to my eyes. I think that would be less of an issue if the distance wasn't so far back from the lenses. The air would blow more on the forehead and go more around the face if the distance of your eyes was closer to the lenses. Anyway, the fan is quiet and attaches easily and securely. But the above issues just make it unusable to me. ... show more
