This is a beast of a pot. Lid and pot fit securely. I plan to bake bread in this vessel over an open fire with coals underneath and on top. Has a sturdy handle if you want to suspend it over a fire. We love cast iron. Product came as advertised, seller was easy to work with and the cast iron pan was delivered quickly. Value for money was on point. These last several years. We clean these as they are still warm but cooling down by scraping the food and sometimes boiling with oil or water. We do not use dish soap in these.
