the inside padding of one of my collectable flight helmets went bad and started falling apart- I removed the existing stuff, purchase this inner pad kit and was able to successfully replace the helmet insides and it is a much more comfortable fit. the padding is self sticking and there are plenty extra pads. so you can fix motorcycle helmets, flight helmets, bike helmets or any helmet that has a foam inner lining. great product. ... show more

I tried to use these pad to at least get a old motorcycle helmet usable until I could purchase a new one. The pads are actually very good and made well. I think the sticky pads might stick to some surfaces but they did not work well on my application

My AGV K6 was a size too large, and after the pads wore in, the helmet started moving around on me and tilting down over my brow in corners. These pads were simply perfect. I inserted the large round pad under the head liner toward the front, and two rectangular pads tucked under each cheek pad. The helmet now fits like a glove—and this mod was way cheaper than brand new OEM cheek pads. The pads are on the firm side, but they’re the ideal shape and size for tweaking fitment of certain helmets. Definitely don’t rely on them for primary protection of a motorcycle helmet—just fitment. Make sure in advance that your helmet cheek pad design will allow you to insert these things. For example, my Arai Corsair-X cheek pads are part of the foam protection system, so you probably wouldn’t want to compress them with these pads unless you open up the cheek pad fabric and insert one of these pads as another layer. But for lids with removable cheek pads that aren’t integrated with a foam core backing, you’ll be good to go as long as there’s some space between the fastener buttons. I also successfully inserted the round pad under the Arai head lining toward the front. Note: I didn’t try using the adhesive or velcro on either helmet since the pads fit right in. Although I didn’t find the need, you could probably remove the pads’ foam cores and shape them as you see fit with some scissors. When I was shopping for these, I saw a thicker version from this seller. Let me save you the time—don’t get the thicker ones—they’d be way too big and wouldn’t compress enough to fit. My brand new Hjc helmet was setting too low on my head hitting my glasses that put pressure on the bridge of my nose. Using these in place inside on where my forehead hits and it raised the helmet off my nose.
